Was honestly wanting them to pull KA in case Cam goes down again. Didn’t need to see KA throw a third interception and have his confidence totally shot. Dude has a lot to offer

I agree. If there was a game that you wouldnt want to put cam back in, wouldve have been this game.

I feel like the coaching staff knew just how good this defence would be against them, and kept KA in as a sacrafice.

I'm not convinced we can go 11-5 or 10-6.

It's certainly not a given for sure.  But what else do we have to look forward to except to believe we can?

We absolutely got outclassed today, but we've been in every other game, and could have won the Rams and first Bucs game.

We also easily could have lost the Texans game.

We're going to have to win some games we're not going to be favored in.

The percentages aren't going to be favorable.  But until it's over, why not believe and hope?

exactly this.

there are to many unknowns for this team at this juncture. If cam comes back, and isnt what we would hope him to be, then we are done. butttt, if he comes back, as healthy as he has ever been, then we could def have a chance to keep contending.

It isnt ideal, but it is enough to no throw in the towel as a fan.

Because cheering for a team and evaluating them are two different things.

I mean I could certainly hope that Darryl Williams becomes an anchor on our offensive line. If I'm evaluating him right now though, he comes off more like an anchor that's chained to your feet when the mafia throws you in the East River because you saw something you shouldn't have.

People ask me if I'm an optimist or a pessimist. My answer these days is that I'm an analyst.

All things considered and the situation he was thrown into KA absolutely deserves praise for guiding the team to that record. Unfortunately I don't know how far this offense is going to be able to go toward the playoffs against stiffer competition with the state of this OL. Our staff isn't exactly doing us favors for that issue with some of these depth chart decisions either. It's clear we are still going to require investments in that group.

Whoever ends up starting at QB next week the coaches need to put them in a better position to succeed with the gameplan as well. If we know our line is getting overmatched you don't want your guy back there waiting on long developing plays and taking blindside hits. Get the ball out.

He’s done better than a lot of other backups would’ve done in that spot. He was a fourth string quarterback last year. He bounced around, and didn’t get signed by several teams during tryouts. They saw a few things they liked, he came in and made some good plays, but it’s time to start transitioning back to Newton. This is not a bad player to have as your back up long-term. I said all week, today would be a good litmus test as to his future is a starter in this league. He didn’t pass the test. You don’t throw them in the trash, but you do have a better sense of where to go from here.

    • Another layer to that is Ive seen Seattle has been in the market for CB help this off-season.   Michael had a higher PFF grade than Horn who got 15 games this season. He wants to be here too, that's a huge bonus for any 5 win team that had awful pass rush.  The 7th rounder Michael Barrett didn't last long on Seattle, he was cut before the season I think and ended up on browns PS. He's already been on 5.......5 teams within one year.......
    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
