I guess I don't know what ‘completely healthy’ or ‘100% healthy’ is with this franchise anymore.  I doubt there is a player in the nfl that is completely healthy

I honestly feel like the window is closed on the Rivera era and it’s past time to move on from all of them.  Sadly

I mean, why care about cam’s health now when for years they didn’t unless they plan on moving him in the off season.  I was floored when newton admitted it was a known fact that shoulder wasn’t right after the first surgery and still they played him

...and suddenly now, it’s all about his health.  I’m just not buying it   Not at all

There's been a lot of speculation that Newton's Panthers future is in doubt (the same could actually be said of Rivera and Hurney).

I try to make myself look at things as if they were happening on another team and thus ask myself what I would think of a given situation if it were happening to somebody else. In that scenario, given age, recent injury history, resulting health concerns and salary cap considerations, I'd probably be pessimistic.

That said, if Rivera stays and you throw in Rivera's desire to have players leave on their own terms, then who knows?

That's been my expected date for his return as well. I'm now also starting to question it.

Things can change, but every time I see one of these reports it's hard not to be at least a little discouraged.

This pic was on Tues. 10/22 when team returned from the bye week (exactly when Schefter said he would be ready to go)....looks like he's working that foot pretty good.

Today is 10-days later and there's zero new news on progress and he can't be outside in the rain -- just bizarre.

12/1 earliest, more likely 12/8 (if that).

Anyone remember that hire Tepper made a little over a year ago....the one where the Panthers were the first team ever to create and fill the position full-time?

Charlotte -> London -> Charlotte -> San Francisco -> Charlotte is a hell of a lot of traveling in a 3-week period, no? What’s hard to understand about that?

Traveling by private charter with every single other detail already taken care and with a bye week in between is in no way difficult.  Complete cop out.

No just sharing my crazy opinions here like all the other “Ron hates Cam” theorists here

well, turns out he didn't practice at all the last 2 days.  going to see a specialist, the specialist.  idk. sometimes its fun rooting for the team when beating anyone is like the superbowl.

    • I tend to look at all of these guys and wonder how committed they are to doing special teams? It's a big deal when you're fighting for roster spots. And we need massive refreshes to all phases of the special teams game. And the idea that four or five of these players could see rotational use outside of special teams would be a win. This team has accumulated quite a bit of dead wood over the last five years and its time to take an axe to some of it. These new fellows have a shot to benefit from that if they can really push. That being said, wow that receivers room is crowded right now. I'm not sure if I was a vet player with more than 2 years experience other than Adam Thielen if I'd be too sure of my future here. Tet is guaranteed a spot, Coker earned his for sure and they aren't done with XL developing yet. That's only two to three spots left for the entire room. It's going to be very competitive and better for Bryce's future, too. Safety and linebacker are the opportunity spots here this season. There's room for the right guy and we may see a starter eventually from one of these UDFAs, either by merit or injury.
    • Aho and Jarvis just gripping it too tight right now. Relax, play their 200 ft game and the shots will start to find the net. Freddie has been excellent and welcome back Mista Svechnikov. Burns.....well, thank goodness for Slavin.
    • Supposedly he plans on staying in college for all 4 years.
