Wouldn't hate it.

Would probably be want to hire an aggressive OC out of the college ranks, especially one that knows the limitations of the OL coming out of college and can work with it (ie, get the ball out quicker).

He worked with Joe Brady for the past two years before he went to LSU. Wouldn't surprise me if he gave him a call.

On the defensive side, Mike Nolan has a record for being an aggressive defensive coordinator. He's currently the Saints linebacker coach. Campbell's also got history with Rod Marinelli if he's done in Dallas.

C’mon now, man. “Optional to win the division”? It’s not like we’re winning the division with a losing record or at 7-9.

Hence the words "While the Saints have been good".

The fact is 8-8 would have won the division, and 7-9 might have.  Look at it this way: the same has often been true of the Pats in their dominance of AFCE, but their worst record in doing so was 10-6, I believe.  Add a few Super Bowl appearances and wins along the way.  Being in a lousy division did not make them anything but good.  Generally the three also rans there were not capable of staying on the field with the Pats even though there is a rivalry.  I think the rivalry has made the intra-division games in the NFCS at least interesting some of the time.

I stand by my statement.....the last two seasons being good was optional to win the NFCS.  The Saints have been good, but winning the NFCS didn't require it.

It could be worse......we could be in the NFCE.  The team that may win that will be 9-7 or 8-8, and depending on which "dead man walking" it is, might win it and then fire their coach for good reason!

Although Garrett can say faster than anyone "yes sir, Mr. Jones, sir.  Anything you say, sir.  You sure are a genius, sir.  I hope that one day I can be half as smart as you are, sir.  More coffee, and the usual way, sir?"  New potential candidates have to ask how he wants his coffee, even if they can match Garrett's speed as spitting that out.
