I disagree with your take on Cam...but totally agree with this...

It's fair to disagree, when Cam threw his first touchdown pass you were wearing your old 17 jersey and I gave you a high five wearing the ole 52.... briar creek ale house Newton to Smith over Peterson.... only two panthers fans there just about.

Times change and its time for a major overhall only those overly emotionally attached will throw temper tantrums about it..... The revolts over Smiths cutting..... people move on.

no one knows if any specialist advised against surgery or not.   you only know what you were told the dr said.   how many times do i have to explain this.  the dr can not refute or confirm what was said publicly.

I wish it was done sooner as well, but hey, it's not my foot. This is probably why:

What I heard on interview on wfnz from a Tiffany Blackman interview was Cam was growing tired of the rest advice as the time line was never finite.  There was nothing more he could do then what he was doing and it still wasn’t fully healing

he received rest advice from the drs he saw but he was also told that surgery would give him a definite timeline or a high probability of timeline to full recovery and he also knew the probability of recovery with his surgery was 10 weeks

he wanted to be ready by March thus this timeline

If this is true, then I don't freaking blame him AT ALL!

Yeah you know with HIPAA laws, unless he tells someone we would not know

what she said though made perfect sense   She didn’t say how she knew

I’m rooting for him. He carried this team for years. We still have Luke and can’t win. We have cmc and can’t win.

we have Brian Burns And his ‘bend’ big f’ing deal

there is no replacing a good to great QB1.   Get the foot healthy so he is mobile and even if that shoulder is arthritic and 80%, he will still be better than 90% better than what’s out there

and this time, in the first rd, for the love of god, go get the best offensive lineman available. It has been a long long time since Jordan Gross was drafted

Look its the we have no logical rebuttal crowd so let's go poo all your posts.

That's all unctarhole888 can do is poo posts because he doesn't know football and can't understand when someone knows more than he ever will. He then says hey I got them on ignore but still reads posts to poo them. When actually he is reading and thinking damn I wish I would listen to that guy.

Well, I tell you what... I've been as guilty as anyone for doubting and questioning Cam the last two or three years, I can be as "knee-jerk" as anyone. But I do you remember when Cam had that car accident in December of 2014? What happened the very next season? Now, I don't know where Cam's mind is, I will not hypothetically say anything at this point, but the kind of thing he is going through right now just MAY inspire him and put a chip on his shoulder like no one has ever seen... Who know's what Teppers vision is, but I would say a good gamble at THIS point is to just see what Cam has left to say ON THE FIELD. What the hell does this organization have to lose, except another game??

Marty knows. (and we do too)

"...Cam has diligently followed a program of rest and rehab and still is experiencing pain in his foot,” general manager Marty Hurney said. “He saw two foot specialists last week who agreed that he should continue that [non-surgical] path prescribed by the team’s medical staff, and that it likely will take significant time for the injury to fully heal."

Why don't yall just fuging shut up and kiss already

You guys are the ones with you lips so firmly planted on cams ass that you cant even see reality. The dude has played like 8 games in the past 2 years and isnt a dual threat anymore. He is a shell of his former self that cant stay healthy. He was never a pocket passer.

 And the team is rebuilding.

Durant is literally out for the season with a foot injury.  Your bold statement dies with a whimper.

The achilles is not a foot injury lol.

And those injuries were years apart, they have nothing to do with one another.  He played full seasons after having the lisfranc injury and surgery and never had issues with his foot.

KD'S achilles injury was actually brought on by a calf injury...  nice try though.

    • Yeah and I am doubtful he can offer that consistently. I don’t have many years left at my age and in my view we have wasted two and this whole exercise with him was always a three year minimum.  I am out on that with a guy I don’t believe in, and never believed in, it has sucked. To me it is a costly detour off the right track. Years.    But I am not so rigid that I can’t see excellence. He needs to display it though, consistently before I change my outlook.
    • No, when I said rage, I meant rage, which only applies to certain fans on this board. Your timeline of trying to assess whether he is the future or not is really tied to the discussions surrounding his second contract. If this team is going to commit to some monster contract while he has shown nothing but glimpses of brilliance would be deservedly worrisome, so the clock is genuinely ticking for him to settle into something resembling his final form. Perhaps a best case scenario is that he plays well, the team succeeds, but he does so with a more limited role that makes the rest of the league view him as a game manager, and his second contract value reflects that. Then he continues to improve and becomes a bargain comparatively while not handicapping the team around him, and we enter an era of consistent championship competitiveness that the fanbase has craved for decades and has never really experienced before. But that requires many, many things to go right and for Bryce himself to facilitate that if he ends up being the quarterback of the future.
    • Exactly. And the flame throwers as well, get location benefits from not going all out. But they have it in reserve.  Not sure how much Greg had but he was an artist.  There was a YouTube I came across last year or maybe even 2023 and I don’t how to even find now but it had two NFL QBs I want say one was Carr from the Raiders but I don’t really remember  The point of it is they stood side by side throwing identical distances to identical targets. Radar gun was used.  They threw the normal effort (not all out) and it was measured etc. Then they were asked to throw their ‘fastball’. They were missing and most often they were missing high. It demonstrated the same principle.    edit: and applying that to arm strength, give me the guy that doesn’t need max effort to have good velocity. The margins are so narrow with less velocity in tne NFL the defenders can Close on it and this is a league where they value down to the 100th of a second level. It is that tight
