teams are making a pretty consistent habit of making playoff pushes with qbs on rookie deals (unless you have an all time great in Brees, Brady or Rodgers).

I keep waiting for the QB bubble to pop. At some point, teams have to start understanding that you can't give an average starter or even a pretty good starter the types of contracts that these types of players are getting in today's NFL. Everyone is just terrified of the unknown. They'd rather pay known mediocrity crazy money rather than roll the dice on potentially going backwards in an attempt to go forward.

Drafting an OL means that we will just be wasting a minimum of 3 years of Luke and CMC’s football career. A rookie OL can come in immediately and produce. In example, look at our very own Jordan Gross. We were in the SB his rookie year but we did so with a great defense and having a QB. No rookie QB is going to lead you to a SB. Please name one. QBs need at least 2-3 years to be comfortable and produce at a very high level. You got to take a QB if one is available in this upcoming draft. Groom him for a year and then draft an OT the following year if Little doesn’t produce.

Blame Chicago for giving Mike Glennon that big deal a while back

We trade Cam, get a FA QB and draft an OT in the first and a QB in the second.  The next few picks work on the DL. Spend the money we saved on Cam on a top-end FA LG. Revert back to a 4-3 where we already have the LBs in place.  Sign a mid-tier CB and demote Jackson.   The rest of the roster can be adjusted in the leading up to camp as normal.

How'd the last top-end FA LG work out for the Jags?

Honestly, he might be available this offseason if we want him back.

Horrible, but just like the draft, FAs tend to bust from time to time too.  Especially on their second one when they get paid, just like Norwell.

Add Short and Turner to that list too. I agreed with both re-signings, but hindsight being 20/20 and all, I wish we'd let someone else ink those contracts and took our 3rd round comp picks.

Considering both have been banged up this year and the season looking bleak from word go, maybe their competitive fire was dampened.  I'm interested to see how they both play next season.  Short's been out almost all season, but Trai has dealing with his injuries while plugging leaks on either side of him when in the line up.  I believe you are only as strong as your weakest link.  If this OL can shored up some next year I think Trai will be just fine.  KK too, if he can stay healthy.

    • Bryce Young has recorded 4 game-winning drives through nine weeks, leading the Carolina Panthers to crucial victories in tight contests. The 12-play, 58-yard clock-killer versus the Packers in Week 9 (16-13 upset). This pace positions him as the team's most clutch performer in years, with a 68.4% success rate on go-ahead drivesalready surpassing many franchise benchmarks early in his career.   Young's early 2025 surge (top-5 league-wide in clutch EPA at 0.28 per dropback) not only outstrips the debuts of Newton (2 in 2011) and Delhomme (1 in 2003) but hints at him climbing this list quickly if the Panthers sustain their wildcard hunt. Data underscores his growth: no other Panther QB hit 4 GWDs before Week 10 in a season.   The energy fans pour into the stadium directly shapes Bryce Young’s performance positive support has been shown to elevate his fourth-quarter efficiency by 12%, strengthening team cohesion and execution under pressure. Criticizing or booing the starting quarterback fractures morale, disrupts focus, and undermines the very resilience needed in clutch moments. When fans stand firmly behind their QB and team, they become a true home-field advantage, amplifying performance and accelerating the path to sustained success. Now are you a Carolina Panther fan or a Panther hater?
    • Bryce would have extended some plays scrambling with his legs but then again he also has a high number of fumbles so you never know what you're going to get and the way the Bills were getting after Andy (sacked 7 times) it stands to reason Bryce would have been under duress often. What exactly do you want here? I mean I'm going to go by the gameplan I saw after Bryce turned the ball over against GB. Clearly Dave Canales was deliberately trying to limit the opportunities for him to make a catastrophic mistake. And didn't Micah Parsons log zero QB pressures? So with that in mind if you are asking for anyone to argue our offense with Bryce would have had much if any success against that opportunistic motivated Bills defense while we were also splitting carries between Rico and Chuba who had the majority of them which ended up being a situation resulting in a weeks worth of scathing criticism and deservedly so then I'm going to just have to say we can agree to disagree.
