A) If free agency brings OT help,  we can wait till the 2nd or 3rd for LG help/ C depth.

B) If you get off on QB injuries, watching bad line play, broken plays, etc, then you're an asshole, but you probably wouldn't favor an OL pick in the first.

(No judgement on assholes. It is what it is)

You're making a mistake here. The mistake is assuming someone who disagrees with your estimation of what is the best option doesn't like a player just because he doesn't want to take the same course of action regarding that player that you do. Please stop pretending that because I don't agree with how you want to proceed it means I don't like Cam. That's nonsense. You're saying 30 isn't old for a qb. In a vaccum that statement is accurate. For a qb who runs, it is not.  Being realistic about the human body, the effect the violence of football has on it, and it's decrease in healing effectiveness past certain ages has absolutely zero to do with whether you like that player or not.

Look at the career statistics, particularly rushing statistics of dual threat qb's

Cunningham, McNabb, McNair and Daunte Culpepper all show their rushing yards per season fall off a cliff before or around their age 30 season.

Vick's falloff doesn't happen until age 33, but guess what Vick didn't do for 2 years right in the middle of his prime? Play football. That gave his body extra mileage due to no wear and tear, similar to Thomas Davis.

Steve Young rushed for meaningful yardage well into his 30's, but guess what he did for all but one season until he hit 30? Serve as a backup, so less wear and tear.

Even the exceptions to the rule demonstrate the hard truth that there is x amount of punishment any player can take as a runner at maximum before they either lose effectiveness or lose their career.

Most of these players were able to play into their 30's, but only because they drastically dialed back the rushing aspect of their game. If Cam wants to keep playing, he needs to do the same. I think what we have seen from him so far suggests he's capable of doing it, but he will need a respectable line to throw from behind, or a stellar receiving corps won't help. This WR class is deep. Franchise LT classes are never deep. Let's get the man the blindside protector he deserves but has been lacking since Gross's retirement. We can do that and still add a quality WR, it just won't be Jeudy or Lamb. I much prefer that to watching Cam get laid out with yet another uncalled helmet to helmet hit while Jerry Jeudy runs free wondering why the ball isn't coming.

Have you seen this article from Panthers Wire .  I agree our right side is set with Morton and Turner.  I don't agree with their assessment that Van Roten is the problem with the left side of the line.  I agree that Little didn't really have a chance to show his stuff with his injuries, but when he was healthy to play he was beaten way too often and seemed lost.  I had a major concussion due to an car wreck and it took me a year or more to fully recover.  Little had two in a years time.  Just look back Luke has not been the same since the 2016 year when he suffered two concussions that year.  Maybe Little will bounce back or he can be moved to guard, but if Andrew or Thomas are on the board at 7 we should take them to protect whoever will be QB next year.        https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/2020/01/26/panthers-offensive-line-pat-meyer-change/
