You kind of prove what you’re trying to argue, right. I rather have Josh Allen, Roquan, Mike and Buckner than the other guys.

I understand where you are coming from, but I definitely have to disagree with taking Roquan over Alexander and Ridley.

Ridley has been spectacular at taking Donte’s lunch money away. But he is replaceable. Roquan is a key part to the the bears defense and plays a very important position. Jaire hasn’t prove that he’s a top 10 corner.

There was an article recently that shows how financially it was better, meaning paying for 2 later picks (say a 1st and 2nd) equals the salary of 1 higher 1st round pick. There point was your getting a player for 4 years for free. Even though getting one great player is great, I see the upside in more "higher round" picks. 5th and above not so much. Having Luke and all those great top 10 picks didn't get us a Super Bowl (close, but we didn't get one) and really only had 1 magically good year. Having a balanced team with good coaching might be the way (ie: Patriots) and I think that's where we are headed. I would love Simmons at LB with #7. If he's not there, maybe we should drop back if we get the right offer.

Wrong

What metric are you actually using to make that statement?  PFF scores? or eye test (otherwise known as name recoginition)

Allen is definitely looking better than the other 2 in his draft class, buts hard to say for sure after one year.

Roquan isn't any better at this position then Alexander is at this.  Actually Alexander had a better year relative to his position.  Ridley is just bonus.

Williams isn't better then Adore relative to his position.

Buckner is a really good player, but the other two guys are really good players at their positions also.  Just happens to be positions that don't get noticed as much.

Even if the play at 7 was better (which he isn't in most of the cases) he would have to be substantial better especially if both of the other players were above replacement value.

Good thing you’re not drafting for us. You would’ve passed on Cam Newton, Luke and CMC.

lol

So that’s the metric you use?

Here again I’m asking what you are basing your opinion that the pick 7s that I listed are better then the combination of the two players I listed in each year.

Productivity, leadership, wins. I rather have a dollar than three quarters.

but history looks more like 2 quarters than 35 cents.

Actually in most of those cases I reference you traded a dollar for another dollar plus a free player

    • The team wore down and shots stopped falling.  Ball, Miller and Kon have to play well.  At least 2 of the 3.  2/16…0/6. That ain’t gonna cut it.     If Bridges and White are the only ones hitting from 3, it’s not gonna go well.  The 3’s make Moose and Kalk work.  No 3’s it gets too crowded for them with all the bodies crashing the boards.    (Kalk needs to add strength, something awful tho.)
    • Was at the game and NYCFC honestly outplayed CLT the whole way.  Khalina and Zaha carried the team.  Zaha's wife on IG making it sound like he's gone come July. They're going to have to pay him or find a big time replacement because the team looks like pretty lost without him.
    • No one's saying LaMelo has no blame we're responding to you acting like he's the reason they lost. The scapegoating and blaming the teams woes on his personality is where it's like Cam Newton all over again. It was a failure on multiple fronts and primarily Lee's. Dude said ON AIR pregame that they had to protect the paint and if that was his gameplan going in he couldn't have botched it more. As the commentators said Ball's a rhythm guy and Orlando was preventing him for getting any kind of flow going. I'm a normie watching on TV and said they needed to bait them into fouling to combat that. They didn't even try until the 2nd half when it was too late. I think it's fair to expect the star to overcome whatever but LaMelo was not the problem in that game and he's not what is holding the team back. He's the only reason they're flirting with being a great team. I kinda put the center play on Lee too. Moose is great until he's up against a big who can body him. We've always known that and that's what Kalkbrenner is for. I don't know if it would have changed much but Kalkbrenner should have had more minutes than him.  And moving forward with the center position, I just think it's the time to trade Diabate while his stock's high and that's not an indictment of his game. He's like an evolved combination of Biyombo and PJ. He's a great rim protector and the strength issue is just what you're going to have to deal with if you want that. But Kalkbrenner is perfectly capable of protecting the rim and we gotta get away from the undersized centers or it'll always be a problem for us.
