When will we get our next sack?

Last year's defense had the advantage of playing against Jameis Winston. Five of our 14 int's and nearly one fifth of our sack total came against Winston.  

 

I said this year's d will be better, and still believe it.  Sack numbers were an outlier last year.   As I said, nearly 1/5 of the total came against JW.  But the two or three times we sacked the qb or forced a turnover per game last year meant on that play, we were better.  But the rest of the plays were horrible.  I still think that at the end of the year, we will rank slightly higher defensively than we did last year.  Run defense will be better, and I don't think this one will give up the way last year's defense did.  Not that being better than last year's defense will be much of an accomplishment.

I think the real question is if we "put it together" and start getting better or the weight of all the losses starts making morale drop. We are a very young team without a lot of good veteran leadership, so it might be difficult to hold them together if we keep losing. 

To be determined. I definitely see high potential for the defense to be worse than last year.
