I wasn't a big fan of that either. Honestly I would have rolled with Cam and tried to compete with vets. But that is partly selfish on my part. I am getting older and don't want to wait another 10 or 15 years to contend for another Superbowl. I want to be able to jump up and down and hi five not sit in my wheelchair and huff oxygen. It might not be that bad but you get my meaning. LOL

You and me both. Or at least I wouldn't have nuke the entire roster and kept Cam. Oddly enough, our tackles have been really good this year and I think Cam would have weathered the OL storm much better without getting annihilated from the blind side. Plus, can you imagine him as healthy as he has looked in NE with Robby Anderson??? Jesus.

I was a big critic of getting rid of Bradberry and didn't love the Turner trade and not signing Cockrell, Kyle Love off the top. I could go on but that is not where we are at so I am going to look ahead instead of behind. But that is me.

We did win that Turner/Okung trade at the moment. Okung has been our best offensive lineman and the best LT since Gross.

If they keep running him 10-15 times a game I am afraid he is going to get "2016" ed or hurt by head shots. At his age and injury history should he be running the ball 150 carries at his age. If that were the Panthers everyone would be saying that we are using him up as a battering ram.

And Cam wants to prove he is back and healthy that I worry he might get hurt trying too hard to take everything on his back.

It costs next to nothing for NE to use him up on a one year, cheap deal. I agree that Cam will likely push as hard as possible(maybe too hard) to prove that he isn't done. I wish him the absolute worst as far as success in New England(fug everything about that team) but I hope he is able to get a big contract somewhere else so I can root for him again.

Yeah and if that continues I will be the first to say that trade was a great move. The fact he was a decent tackle in San Diego was the only reason I took a wait and see approach. Then when Okung was supposed retiring I was hoping it wasn't so otherwise the trade was disasterous. So both of them are dinged up a bit. We will see how it goes. I am rooting for Okung of course

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
