Even if he was cancerous at prior stops, Pitt was personal and the Jets went full Gase. Assuming he's good with a diminished role winning can sure cheer guys up.

According to Andy Reid, it actually wasn't his call. Reid said personnel stuff is GM Brett Veach's area.

I have a hard time believing that a coach with as much tenure and success as Andy Reid doesn't have some say in personnel, but those are his words.
