I think the Dolphins had zeroed in on Tua all along and refused to let that potentially career altering injury play into their evaluation. They were already in love.

Completely understood the move. However, I didn’t expect to see Tua in an NFL game at all this year. I think the success of Herbert and Burrow made them feel like their hand was forced.

If the Bengals win either one of their games and we lose both we would be at the 3rd spot as well and there is a better chance of the Bengals winning than us winning with the remaining schedule. So we are all Bengals fans the next two weeks.

Unfamiliar opponents:

Atlanta: Dallas and Seattle

  • Remaining Games:
    • Dallas (5-9) Philly and @ NYGiants
    • Seattle (10-4) LA Rams @ San Francisco

Carolina:  Cardinals and Washington

  • Remaining Games:
    • Cardinals (6-9) LA Rams
    • Washington (6-8) Carolina , @Philadelphia

At the moment, Atlanta is 15-13 in these unfamiliar opponents, Carolina is 12-17, giving them a worse SOS at this time.

How so?  Green Bay can go 1-1 over the next 2 weeks and still get the #1 seed over NO.  Either way, SF winning helped us a lot today.  Thank you Kyle for bringing us 28-3 and a good win today.

They still have a shot and of they lose even one game and Bucs don't they don't even win the division. So there's that and obligatory the SF game helped us.

Maybe so. But yeah, I expected this to basically be treated like a redshirt year for Tua.

I think it's hard to blame Miami for picking Tua over Herbert. Tua was the consensus #2 qb in the draft. Herbert at 6 was itself a major question mark. There was perhaps the rare take that suggested Miami might take Herbert based on question marks about Tua's health. I don't think anyone expected Herbert to outshine a healthy Tua.

That poo is complex but as of now we have a .532 and Atlanta has. 539. So I'm not sure how we change. 007 points. Especially if we lose to the Saints?

Oh, I don't blame them at all. Hindsight is always 20/20.

I just don't think they gave that injury and it's severity enough consideration in their evaluation process. Maybe the ghost of passing on Brees due to shoulder concerns was looking over that.

Tua looks like Teddy but with lesser pass catchers. Everything is close to the line of scrimmage. Completion king.

Yeah, physically he just looks like a shadow of his former self, both throwing and running. He's even admitted that he's nowhere close to what he used to be physically. That injury may have ruined him. If it was deemed a longer recovery process he really shouldn't be playing.
