Offseason Trade: Jonathon Stewart for Jason Campbell

And this thread here, folks, is why I'm glad many of the Huddlers here doesn't run the team. I mean, Jason Campbell?!? I'm sure many who dislike Jake right now will agree he is way better than Campbell. If not, then some are not thinking straight here. :shocked:

Hearing people speak of bringing in Jason Campbell or Derek Anderson perplexes me greatly, but to trade a young, premiere back for him is dumbfounding. Campbell has never proved that he is starting QB material (and I mean NEVER). At least Anderson did have a decent season (but still threw his share of picks).

When you look at Campbell's body of work, someone explain to me what he has ever done but retrogress. What is the motivation and/or incentive for envisioning Campbell in a Panthers uniform?

Now, Troy Smith hasn't had a shot, so I'd try and bring him in to compete for the job if the price ain't too high.

Jason Campbell is a good QB in a horrible system. That said, i wouldn't give up anything more than a bag of magic beans to get him.

If we were going to trade J-Stew I want a decent QB and a decent 3rd round pick.

I don't support trading Stewart for Campbell or Anderson, but if Anderson is available for a low round pick or a free agent, then I think we should pick him up.
