I don’t see us being a real contender to win the East just yet. But we are playing really well right now while Terry and PJ have been injured. Bouknight and Kai haven’t even seen the court. If we can make a move for a center, I can see us making a run like Atlanta last year.

Why did they even draft Bouknight to begin with?  They've got a log-jam with young, talented back court players.  Im struggling to find a scenario where Bouk gets any significant run anytime soon unless someone gets injured.

During the offseason, the rotation was set up to be:
PG - Ball - Ish
SG - Terry - Bouk
SF - Gordon - Oubre
PF - Miles - PJ/McD
C - Plumlee - PJ

Right now the rotation is:
PG - Ball - Ish
SG - Oubre - Martin
SF - Gordon - Martin/McD
PF - Miles - McD
C - Plumlee - Richards

No one during the offseason thought we would be getting quality minutes from all 3 of Martin, McD and Richards.. im nervous to even point out that Martin has taken a jump up especially on his Defense and 3ball.. he is a career 27% 3pt shooter and is connecting at 50% right now.. he did a great job of locking up Harden during the Nets game..

McD right now - is shooting 70% from 3pt land.. and Richards has come in while Plumlee gets some air, and the defense hasn't fallen off a cliff - he looks like a serviceable NBA center..

All that to say - Bouknight was supposed come into the Monk role but with the way Martin is playing - he is not needed right now.. if Martin was playing like he was at the end of last year, I'm sure Bouk would be pushing for minutes..

    • Idk man, I think it’s necessary.  There’s people working 9-5s everyday that get told poo about what they aren’t and what they’re not capable of and they’re working for scraps.  These guys are making millions.  People are watching and invested because their team and fandom is a part of their identity and a big source of pride.  When someone like Bryce comes in and is given chance after chance after chance after proving he is not worthy of the position he’s being gifted, and he continues to be the biggest reason above any that we are losing, yeah…  I think it’s fair to call a spade a spade.  Am I saying Bryce the person is trash?  Bryce the person is a piece of poo?  Absolutely not.     I came up in an era, especially in basketball, where if you were fuging up people heckled the poo out of you.  I played in rec leagues as a teen where the fuging parents were calling kids trash and yelling poo like “TURNOVER!!!  TURNOVER!!!”  “CANT DRIBBLE!”  “CANT SHOOT!”  And that’s adults screaming that poo to kids like we were in the fuging Rucker lol.🤣🤣🤣  I went on to play basketball at a collegiate level and with professional players in different settings.  What those experiences as a kid taught me was to see if there is any merit to what people are saying, and if there is, then work my ass off til they can’t say that anymore.  Come back better, tougher, harder.  And I did.  If kids can figure that poo out, an adult calling another adult who is bad at his job while making millions and millions of dollars will be just fine.
    • I have tried to like this team, lord knows I have tried. BY9 is a nice young man, if I had a daughter he can take her to prom, but he ain't QB1 and he's not Cam or Delhomme Chuba is a average RB, he isn't Stephen Davis, he isn't J-Stew McMillan has the makings of a good WR, but he isn't 89/Moose D. Brown is a great player, but if the game was on the line I want Kris Jenkins       I miss this brand of football, even in the bad Jake games the games were entertaining It has been nearly 8 years now of watching numb football
    • I'm not so sure. Something about the whole Frank/Bryce situation seemed off from day 1. Bryce didn't fit Frank's QB mold as well as Stroud, then he basically gives up when Bryce is named starter in preseason but gets virtually no reps in games. Then he looks completely unprepared and Dalton steps in in Seattle, has a decent game under immense pressure, and it's right back to Bryce. All his mechanics are terrible and he's having the worst rookie season ever and Frank doesn't bench him?  You dont have to be a conspiracy theorist to know Bryce wasn't ready to be a day 1 starter. Everything with Bryce, then coaches, and the FO seemed forced.
