Now more than ever, I'm done with Fox

I'm done with Fox, since the season is basically over anyways - I'd like to see us lose every game from here on out to make it as certain as possible that Fox is gone. I know that sounds terrible, but it's like treating cancer - you have to kill some good cells along with the bad cells to get rid of it once and for all.

You know why we lose? because there is no aggression or accountability on this team. Jake can go out there and play like crap and we just call plays around him instead of benching him. Peppers is a ghost and nobody on the coaching staff gets in his face. Look at Tony Sparano last night, someone makes a mistake and he's all over them. A team takes on the personality of it's coach and that's why we're soft.

I love the Carolina Panthers, which is why I will be rooting for us to lose all our remaining games this year - it's the only way I can be reasonably sure that we'll finally turn the page on Fox and get some energy back into this team. Fox was good for this team when he came on because it needed some TLC after going 1-15. Now we have a decent team that is under performing and needs a big swift kick in the butt and Fox clearly doesn't have that in his bag of tricks.

I like Cowher, but I don't care who we bring in here next year as long as they are aggressive and demand accountability.

to tell you the truth i'm right up there with you man. you basically summed up the exact same way I feel about the situation (save for the accountability part, they all seem to hold themselves accountable, they just aren't doing anything about it).

I'm still going to be cheering for the panthers, but at the same time, I won't cry if they drop every last game this season, because it only means our coach might be gone.

Agreed, it's good that we have character guys like Beason to act as surrogate coaches or this team would be lost.

Just once, just once I wanna see Fox stare someone down as they approach the sideline after doing something stupid, but I know that will never happen - he'll just clap with that constipated look on his face and say "come on guys".

Dolphins are playing with many of the same guys that were on the 1-15 team they had, so what's different? Answer: They got two guys in there (Parcells, Sparano) that will not accept failure. I thought Sparano was gonna kick the TE's ass right there on the sideline after a play where the guy ran the wrong route (didn't flatten out enough). When our guys do that, Fox gives them a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

Dude, I know you're upset & all, but that is silly to now want our team to lose all games. That not the Panthers fan way. Not cool at all. Beside, even a coach can get fired while they have a good record. Remeber Marty (former San Diego coach, since I don't know how to spell his last name :P) & Dungy (when he was coaching the Bucs)? Again, they has good records & got fired anyway.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
