Who goes to the Probowl?

Ok, Williams is the only givin with Davis and Gross on IR, Peppers has gone from sure thing to maybe with his broken hand, Beason as much as I love the guy is hurting from the new system and injuries around him this season and I would be surprised if he made it.

Martin started way too late, and Smith is just now starting to put up decent numbers with Jake finally starting to play ok.

IMO unless Peppers really picks it up soon, or Smith goes on a epic run over the last 6 weeks Williams will be our only probowler this season.

Thoughts?

We'll get nobody. The only one deserving of it is DeAngelo and I see no reason he gets in this season if he couldn't get in last year.

Very wrong, he's averaging 5.4 yards per carry, and 120.4 YPG 3rd best among non QB's, and only 4.0 YPG behind Peterson, if Peterson has a bad game today Williams will be the best in the NFC, if he doesn't make the Probowl I would be shocked, Last year didn't surprise me too much, because he was the 4th best in the NFC RB's at the time voting ended with only 3 spots available, I doubt they keep him out this year.

He gets zero hype and he's on a bad team. He received a lot more hype last year when he was on a 12-4 team. I'd peg the odds of him making it at about 10-to-1.

Last year he was this out-of-nowhere player on a small market team.

This year everyone knows he's one of the best backs in the league. Pro-bowls places are a function of current performance + past performance, he'll be in this year.

Then put your money where your mouth is, I'll take that bet and put $10 on it if you will accept.

the players in front of him last year were, Peterson, Turner and Portis. This year, Steven Jackson and Peterson are in front in rushing yards by around 2.5 YPG rushing, and he's in front of Jackson in total YPG and behind Peterson by 4 as stated earlier.

After that there's a huge gap. to the 4th player in the NFC, Baring injuries he's a lock IMO.

D-Lo deserves it, but we won't get anyone in. Not enough fan votes. The players and coaches will vote for him, vut it won't be enough to counter the tons of votes the fans will give to Peterson, Turner, Jackson and Gore.

And I agree that TD would not have made it as well. Nobody outside the NFC South has ever heard of him and even some Bucs, Saints and Falcons fans don't even know him.

    • The Bucs waived shilo sanders after he got ejected.
    • I'm just tired of ppl saying he's so accurate and then have to see recievers slow down to recieve the ball, ruining any chance at YAC
    • Some people will really look at stuff like this and say "no more excuses" but then make excuses to try and explain away the validity of big-time throws. 🙃   Back on topic though, as I mentioned in the other AT thread earlier, I hope that the team is still exploring the deal. If the Vikings want the Panthers to take on some of the salary, then it had better be at worst a 4th-round pick (though I imagine Dan angling for a 3rd). If they're willing to take on all of it, then maybe at worst a 5th. Tough pill to swallow, giving up a 4th for a 35yr old WR, but if MIN believes they can have similar success behind McCarthy then it could be a smart deal for them. Hell, if AT has any gas in the tank and gives them a 1yr sweetheart deal to close out at home, even better for Minnesota. Yea, Bryce loses his best and most reliable WR. Hunter Renfrow though isn't what I would call a huge step down though (if he's as advertised throughout camp), and it gives more reps to TMac + XL + Coker. This season is all about continued development and answering some of the looming questions (Is Bryce the guy? Is Evero the DC going fwd? How do the young WRs develop? How long does it take this defense to bounce back from being historically awful?).
