It’d be invaluable for the young guys who need that kind of experience around them

Gilmore is going to be 32 next season

I still don’t think it was a bad trade. It just feels worse because we gave up a 2nd rounder for Darnold so it compounds the frustrations with lack of picks next year to help fix this team. Cj is freakishly talented but needs quality coaching and time to grow. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like he’s gonna get that here. If a cj type prospect were available in the 3rd most would say that was a great value pick. If we had a second and drafted back to back oline and cj in the third most would say that’s a good draft.
