Let’s be real…we have some talent but it’s still average. This team last year at times couldn’t beat the worst teams in the league and could have lost to our 01 and 10 teams. Just keeping things in perspective.

….and Rhule is still the coach

Stick to hockey. No pun intended.

It’s funny, been a season ticket holder for the panthers since Clemson 95. Paid for and sat through great teams and utter poo. This team last year gave me no hope. I know football budro. I’ll do both

Sorry dude, I was just joking around with the hockey joke. I meant no offense. Maybe I should have said "pun intended" instead of "no pun intended." I never remember which way that goes.

OP  aka  Wet Blanket

Haha,

OP must be some sort of optimist!

He's calling the Panthers, a team with the worst record in their division, 3rd worst record in the NFC, and 5th worst record in the NFL (during the last 5 years) "still average".

Panthers definitely appear to have improved this off season, but "still average"?

Nah, Panthers have to achieve mediocre before they can claim to be "still average".

TL/DR:  OP deserves a Homer Award for claims that the Panthers are "Still Average".

Dont know why you were pooped on so much. In this league, a team is only as good as it’s QB.

You don’t cheat on a woman who has been with you through everything and gave you children and especially not with another man’s wife. He doesn’t even have any remorse about it, acting like nothing happened.
    • That's a big ass center! Is there any center in the NFL that weighs 320 lbs? Also, we drafted a center last season. Not sure this guy is a center even if he took reps at the senior bowl. Looks like a guard to me unless his build is better suited to a lesser weight. In a zone scheme centers need to be able to move quickly.
    • The majority of NFL draft picks don't play all too many snaps lined up directly across from another NFL player, and I don't think many people really realize this. Unless you play a game against one of the 2-4 schools that are putting half their lineup into the NFL each season, most teams who have multiple draft picks, MIGHT only have 2-4 draft picks in any given season. Some skill positions get around 30 players drafted each year, other positions are in the teens to low 20's.  With at least a handful of them coming from non power conference schools too.  So the odds for any WR or CB to get too many games lined up directly against another future draft pick is pretty low. The better odds are that they get lined up against a future NFL player, i.e. a junior or senior WR getting lined up against a freshman or sophomore DB who will get drafted in a couple of years. Then if you take it one step further and look for players who actually play in the NFL and make a difference.   You're basically looking at players drafted in the first 3 rounds of the draft, so a little less than 100 players a year, spread out across all the positions and conferences (which in today's massive conferences, teams have even lower odds of player the teams with more NFL players than ever before).
