What kind of owl is this?

Found this little guy trapped in my shop yesterday- caught him and let him go .  Anyone know what kind it is?  I live southeast in NC

His body was just about the size of a robin - for some reason I cant upload a photo of me holding it

Yeah I think you got it - when I clicked your link and saw a photo of the " rufous morph" that looked just like him- I guess that is what threw me off  when trying to id it the color ( Id only seen pics of the grey ones) , and this was a small bird - not at all close size wise to the  barred or horned owls I normally see.  Thanks for the help guys!  I'm one of those folks who like to know what they are looking at and this had me stumped.

Saw some birds on my place today I don't think I've seen before.  I believe they are wood storks
