NHL Playoff Discussion Thread

So caught the end of the Florida’s game and the beginning of this one so far.

Tampa is gonna whoop Florida ala last season in the best estimation.

I feel this series overall is going to be a lot tighter though. By this I mean the “left” coast.

I’m not even sure if this is the year… next year may be it.

If we don’t make the finals this year then I’d be pretty bummed as I think outside of maybe another top four defenseman we really don’t have a weakness.

Really starting to wish that we traded Necas for Chychrun.

Not talking us specifically. Colorado is just hitting their prime too. Both teams are susceptible to certain weaknesses. Though I figure both will make it over the hump.

Colorado is fugging fast… could easily be up 3-1.

From a pure aesthetic standpoint, Carolina and Colorado would make for a fun finals. Just pure speed.

Game of inches they are certainly the only team that can go toe to toe with the Canes speed, Honestly I still question them similar to florida though....Nashville without Saros is a lottery team.

Calgary might sweep Edmonton, I’ve only watched the twice (now and game 7 vs. Dallas) but they have looked damn good in both games.

Lucic is dirty af but he did just get gipped by the refs there. Should have been Kane and him I’m the box. He delivered a clear shoulder hit on McDavid after McDavid high sticked under Tchuaks(I know I spelled that wrong but I can’t remember how to spell) visor.

    • Short version = these people have had those seats since the beginning and haven't missed a game. They have always had their sign. They had to change the sign - I think in 2015 when Cam ripped that Packers fan's banner down (love him for that, by the way) - to be compliant and haven't had any issues in the last 10 years. The Panthers even used a photo of them and their sign in their album from the Falcons game. In the 3rd quarter last weekend it was decided that the sign needed to come down. Seems weird and unnecessary, especially since it has been there for every game for a decade.   Also "cringe" is a funny word for someone over the age of 18 who lives and overshares on the Huddle. But, ok....
    • Just watched those buc Hawks highlights and good lord....both of them were slinging the ball around. Its definitely a talent issue, I dont know how anybody thinks bryce is just gonna go to another team and start doing that.
    • Thielen was traded away right before our season started. Coker got hurt right before our season started. Renfrow, a player that hasn't played in a while went from cut to being thrust onto the field. Moore, the one vet we did keep, is currently out. Bad things seem to happen trying to throw to XL. Oh, and Tremble was out for a few weeks while Sanders is currently out himself.  Simply starting the fact that we can't even keep a #2 on the field. You're hoping one of the many rookies pulls off a Coker and starts having consistent production.
