My thoughts

3. Okay, then Stewart. They need a first round pick in the worst way. This is the 83 draft all over again. Franchise QBs don't grow on trees.

4. I'm not saying they'll sign another QB, but they'll try some out.

3. This is a tough one....We can't pay Peppers that much money again..If I had to make a decision today it would be Peppers..I think.

1. Moore will start next week. Jake has no touch on the deep ball any more. He's throwing ducks.

2. Fox will stay if the team finishes 7-9 or better. He's gone with 6-10 or worse.

3. Team will trade Smitty if they can get a number one for him, with which they will select a quarterback. WRs easier to find than QBs who can win for you in free agency.

4. Panthers will bring in some free agent QBs this week. Maybe even Garcia.

I agree with it all except 4. Makes no sense. Feely and Moore would both be a slight improvement than Jake even if they play poorly....Jake is that bad. 5 games left to go....no reason to bring in another QB when you haven't test anyone of your other QBs who know the offense.

I'm afraid Smitty is the only player who can get us into the first round. I hope there is another way but I don't know what it is. I think this draft will be for QB's what 2008 was for o-tackles. I think lots will be taken and probably in the first round. Bradford, McCoy, Locker, Pike, Snead, Claussen, and maybe The Golden Calf of Bristol and Mallet could all go in 1st round.

What would be the point? If you're insinuating that they want someone else to start over Delhomme, well, they already had that chance. Garcia was available then, and they took Feeley.

It's not like we really need depth.

I think if a change is made at quarterback (and it should be), it will be in favor of Moore. He should know the system better than any of the less-than-impressive quarterbacks that are free agents right now, and since Moore himself becomes a free agent at year's end, it would be nice to know if he's worth keeping around.

Well said. Moore know the system better, so I rather have him start before we look at QB in the Drafts or FAs. I would remove McCown & Feeley and put Cantwell at either #2 or #3 if he continue to improve, since he has shown promise in the preseason.

Bradford did not come from the Prostyle.

um yeah they do. there's a little bit of spread thrown in but they throw downfield, outs, and digs plenty.

at least they did when he was in there.

But you just described almost every QB in the draft..

uh no I didn't

They all have the tools..

um no they don't

    • These are the three deep throw attempts that Will Levis made in week 12. His first one is a beauty; Levis and Westbrook-Ikhine gets the safety to bite on a deep dig only to go over the top for the score. His second throw is another beauty: a crosser to Calvin Ridley reminiscent of Bryce to XL (though Ridley has noticeably more separation on his route). His third and final deep shot was an incompletion from his own endzone on 3rd & 14 with pressure coming down on him (to me, this seems like a solid throw).   Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-02.mp4 Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-01.mp4 Film Room Playlist NFL Pro.mp4 Film Room Playlist NFL Pro-01.mp4 Levis took half of the deep shots that Young did. The differences are: Ridley had much better separation than XL, which is why his deep crosser turned into a 63yd play since he was able to scamper for another 15+ after the catch. Westbrook-Ikhine holds on to his TD pass. Bryce had to throw one away to preserve time for a field goal. Bryce had two more throws that were incomplete due to the WR Are we really holding the three WR errors and clock management decision against Bryce in order to say that Will was better throwing deep in week 12? That's not passing the eye test nor is it confirmed by the data.
    • If you go on the PUP list before the season starts, you are gone for the year. If you start the year on the PUP list then you can get off of it. Kind of semantics, but we are putting him on the PUP list now which is before week 1, that’s why people who come off of it aren’t really on the PUP list until week 1, hence you usually hear right before the season that they are “starting the year” on the PUP list. I think PUP list and IR may basically be the serve the same purpose now because you also sometimes hear that if a player is added to the IR before week 1 that they aren’t eligible to come off the IR list for the entire year. Now, everyone added to IR (post week 1) can come off after 4 (or more) games so the PUP list is meaningless since it’s 6 games and starts at week 1. Anyone added to PUP or IR in the preseason is gone for the year.
    • I saw Brooks maybe a few weeks ago, he was walking pretty normally. of course he wasnt running, jumping and cutting.
