He looked like crap in both preseasons the last 2 years and you people here thinks he gonna come in and get us to 9-7. I just don't see it I rather let jake ride it out and draft a young qb next year and he & jake can fight it out in camp and pre season for the starting job.

You are a complete tool. It isn't about 9-7. We won't go 9-7, but it is idiotic to keep Jake Delhomme as the starting QB of the team. When you don't do your job, you lose it. Jake is not doing his job, therefore he should lose it. This guys on this team would never come out and say, but they are sick to death of his screwups. You can see the body language of the Defense. Its sickening. You should be banned.

far from a guarantee. it's just worth a shot at this point.

we all know 100% what jake is capable of this year (the only year he should be judged on at the moment because that is when we are). we don't know 100% for sure what moore is capable of in a real game situation being given 1st team reps in practice and going into the game with him being the focal point. we have to see if we have anything there. he has potential based on what was seen as a rookie without training camp in '07...let's see if there is anything else there. if not..big deal. it's not like jake was going to have any triumphant return to his not quite so horrible form and it's unlikely that anything will change with regards to record with jake under center.

time to play around and see what's there.

This^^^^

I have always suported Jake but I think it is best to get him out of the game for a bit. He takes things personally and I'm sure his performances this season are beating him down in his head.

Matt Moore might not take us to the SB but at this point it doesn't matter and he couldn't do much worse. I think Jake would agree to a bit of rest and maybe he can see from the sidelines the things he hasn't been able to see when he is on the field...

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
