I first asked North T to rewatch the game and focus on Moton and then listen to smitty call him "trash" twice..... He picked the wrong guy to say "youre just following smiths words". Ive never been a Moton fan, got 100s of post to back it up too.

I’ve been a Huge fan of Moton’s and was excited to see us extended him.

but he was flat out awful Sunday.  Maybe this injury that has him limited might be hindering him.  But he looked nowhere what he normally is.  That 1st half was about on the same scale as Erving/Daley last year.

All true.

I will add, he also struggled in 2021 along with the other 4 OLmen.......Bad start to the season for sure. He can not repeat that performance. It sorta of reminded me of Taylor Lewan against Chandler Jones, made Motons sunday play look like 1st team all-pro play. Just weird deal sometimes with the OL people. 

Team needs Moton to be the rock he is, not add to the problem with having having a rookie LT...

I tell you what.....after that game, this is not crazy talk.

Moton been solid for dam near his whole career, he should bounce back.

Just personally never had him in the top tier OT or even RT groups, but hes never had a game that bad before. Panthers need him.

I don’t doubt Moton at all to be clear. LT might be too big for icky and BC is more consistent. If rhule refuses to play Bozeman at center then insert him at guard.

Again, it doesn't matter how many times you look at the tape and all 22 if you don't know what the play call is, how lineman are coached to block, or what their assignment was on the play. The first play from the first picture you showed was Moton taking the inside man. See sometimes coaches on the defense send a blitz and there are more people coming after QB than offense has blockers. In those instances, you have to take the inside guy as they have the quickest route to the QB.  And for the other still photos, most of those were RPOs and there have been many posts/articles about how they needed to quit calling those disastrous plays. In the RPO, most of the time there is an unblocked DE or LB that the QB reads to hand the ball off or pass the ball. In the still photos, it looks like Moton is getting beat when that is the play design. Baker is mediocre and our OC looked drunk up in the booth. So again, if you know what you're looking for, he didn't look awful. The C and other OT, yeah they had a rough go of it though. We can discuss that. Ekwonu having a short set and Garrett just waiting until he set then running around him for multiple hits on the QB. 

Alas, you guys are better than the Facebook moron who was screaming that M. Garrett beat Moton up all day. I face palmed knowing he had no idea Ekwonu and Moton were different people.

It’s still his job to pick up the blitz.  You can tell he see’s it coming but just unable to recover and spun like a top.

If it’s not his job.  Teams should blitz every single play because teams would always have free rushers because the it’s not the OL’s job to block.

 

Another shot.  Was him where the Lb blew right by him on a run play.  He tried but could barely get a hand on him.  And dam near rode him as the LB made the tackle of the RB at the line of scrimmage.

I know what I’m watching.  And I’m not going to pump rainbows and unicorns.  Using the “you don’t know what the play call is” sounds like the same baseless excuse when everyone called out Sam Darnold Fugging up.

I like Moton.  But the man played like azz Sunday and was getting beat like a drum Erving style.  
At one stretch, you could tell Cleveland saw him struggling as they started to slide Garrett to his side more and more throughout the 2nd quarter.

Must be family member or you still are needing to get a eye exam.

 So please make sure Moton gets home cooking form his mum/(are is that you?!?!) and tell him hes got plenty of supporters in allll of panther land!!
