How 'bout because if some idjit gets his address on this site and then does something to the guy or his property, this site and its' owners could be held liable?

I thought that as long as you find the address posted somewhere else online it's ok. It would only be a crime if you knew the guy in real life and posted his address, but if it came from another website then there would be no liability.

Greg says he saw beason doing cocaine on a boat on LKN this summer out at the sandbar, people were blowing lines like it was an olympic event and beason was there. So greg tells one of the Waitresses that he saw Beason doing coke this past summer to make himself look better i guess.....well this girl goes and tells beason what was said.. Beason flips his poo and jumps over the table and cuts through some people and jacks greg in the eye. Regardless of any sorry poo he's done he was assulted. Beason was apparently hammered so that is not going to help his case. Greg's nasal cavity is crushed and a fractured eye socket. And you know he got hit with that bottle a few years back and needed brain surgery, so that isn't going to play well for Beason either, he has documentation that any severe head blow could kill him. He is trying to get the warrant upgraded to a Felony right now. And it took two weeks to get the warrant because the Magistrate was jerking him around for 2 weeks and then the investigating officer went on vacation. They were trying to 1up the pro 1upper! hahahhahhaha people lose!

Sorry, but public information is public information. And arrest records and all the information within, including the address of the accused, are exactly that; public information. Posting his address, in any form of media is 100% legal, and in no way makes the site liable.

Not arguing with Panthro's decision. He's in a position to make a judgement call. And in this case he made the right one. Because in addition to posting the address of someone with an arrest record, the poster urged the readers to take action against him. If something did happen to him, the site would possibly be liable, but 99 times out of 100, it wouldn't hold up in court.

If you post his address, someone reads it here, and beats him up outside his house, the site is blameless. You could just as easily blame the phone book. So, in summation, post his address, lock the thread, and let people send the magazines on their own.

But arrest records are supposed to be public information. You don't want your face and address blasted all over the interwebz, don't start stupid bar fights.

If he didn't show said documentation to Beason, it is not going toget upgraded. It's not like Jon knew a headshot could be fatal so I'm sure it will stay as a misdemeanor. Jon was giving some payback for a guy trying to be cool and defaming his character.

IMHO, the guy sounds like a total Douche and pretty much got what he deserved. Drunk or not, witnesses will help Jon's case. If you wanna talk sh!t, be prepared to pay the price. Only wussies call the cops....

The club did, and then they banned him for getting his ass kicked haha. His lawyer is taking a lawsuit out against the club too. I think the whole thing is funny. And i see your point about don't talk crap if you don't want your ass kicked....but you also gatta see this side. Beason is a public figure...christ he is on a poster in an elementry school here promoting healthy eating and physical activity. he is a roll model, and now he is involved in an altercation at a strip club at the wee hours of the morning....yeah its his right to do that, but he is a role model and a public figure where as greg is just trying to get his lapdance on. So you see...its not a level playing field. Regardless if he deserved it, the video tape shows Beason hitting him first and it doesn't really matter if the felony will hold up in court or not, this will settle out of court for sure. Lesson be learned to all of you public figures!

I find it hard to believe that a guy that I've seen in a fight, and multiple people on here say he's been in a lot of fights, was 'just trying to get his lap dance on'. I'm in no way defending Beason, but it sounds kind of odd to me.
