Hope they can get some pratice outside..

Matt Moore will start Sunday's game against the Bucs, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

This is the worst kept secret in football. Jake Delhomme is dealing with a broken middle finger on his throwing hand and may have been benched anyway, but coach John Fox was trying to maintain a "competitive advantage" by keeping his starter a secret. Moore is worth an add in two-QB leagues but we don't expect him to be much of an upgrade over Delhomme

Panthers WR Muhsin Muhammad said that Matt Moore has a "knack (for) throwing the deep ball."

Moore has only made three career starts and none since 2007, so it will be interesting to see if he can jumpstart the Panthers' passing game. We doubt he'll be able to help Steve Smith and the rest of the receivers too much, but it can't get much worse.

yep.....I think he will give him a tiny more room than in 07....and he let him throw in 07. I think the real offense will come showup this week....Smitty has been beating guys for some homeruns this year.....I think we see one Sunday.

Well...Moore with a knack for throwing the deep ball at least is an improvement over Jake. Jake throws pick-6s because the defender only has to run a short distance to their goalline. This might give our offense more time to tackle the interceptor....if that's what happens.

well, Moore might throw a good deep ball.....but if they continue to run this deep vertical routes to Moose it won't matter how good the throw is.....Moose can't run it and they always go to it....

It's going to cause everyone to start with the "I told you so" bullshit if Matt is on his back all day, and can't get the job done, and all the while, Fox will once again come out smelling like rose panties.

well, the QB can bring that on himself and end it to some small degree......Jake couldn't throw the ball and teams wanted toss up balls. Plus, Moore is more mobile.....the OL hasn't been great...but Jake had a role in all of it.

The good thing about moore is that he can run.The bad thing is thats not the type of QB fox likes.lol

      After seeing hits in the last two UDFA pools, I do not in this group sorta of a let down after I gassed myself up.  Not like I know of their games, but just expected more. The duke DT only has to beat out hunte (2025 UDFA) or Ray (DL coach's kid) or even Cam Jackson mid 2025 5th.  I thought they would bring in more edges, IOL, TEs, etc...

      My 2 favorite picks, since you didn't ask? 3. Brazzell II.  A 1000 yard WR with 4.37 speed and checks all the boxes for a Z Wide Receiver.  IN THE THIRD ROUND!!! 5.  Sam Hecht.  I think he will take over as the starter at some point this season and never look back.  IN THE FIFTH ROUND. Runner Up:  2. Hunter:  We were targeting a DT early in this draft because we did very little to replace Robinson in free agency.  Hunter was our guy and he will start. In addition to that, you got a starting tackle that should man one side of the new OL we will build for Bryce's second contract. A starting WR, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and possible Offensive tackle (at some point during this year from this draft will start.  UNREAL. In addition, I don't doubt that Wheatley (5th round) takes the FS job by next year and Lee III is Jackson's replacement in 2027.   Finally, even Kuwatch should be a special teams demon and LB depth.   Last year's draft was so good it was ugly.  This one will turn out to be uglier.  No offense Basbear--this ain't about you.
