Jake will start next week....

We also need a QB who can throw a nice deep ball to Smith. Hitting Smith on a few deep pass plays is a requirement against good teams. We simply can't beat good teams without Smith racking up yardage on the long ball. In the past, Jake did a great job of hitting Smith deep. Now Jake lacks the arm strength, so we have no choice but to pass the reigns to Moore. I see no reason to hand Jake the starting spot once his finger heals. I hope Moore can continue to prove that he can manage the game, and hit Smith deep on a consistant basis.

Guys dont you get it?? Zod is playin the ole reverse psychology card.. Like how a few of you guys in earlier post said he always makes predictions and it never happens. thats what will go on here.

for real though the QB spot is based alot on the quick decisions you gotta make and since our season is pretty much shot Fox should let Moore get the reps so we can really see what he is capable of and the Pats would be a really good test to see if hes the guy we want next year under center

I do believe Martin makes it over to Marshall to help out with some of those completions to Bryant, possibly pick one off.

Yep....godfrey was very late on both of those throws.

Not to mention that Marshall never even looked back or made a play on either ball.... Marshall sucks as a starting DB.

It wouldnt surprise me because its a road game. I think that is the reason why he kept Jake in against the Jets. On the road no matter how bad Jake is your not going to get your a** booed out of the stadium.

If Jake starts againts NE and sucks it up, then Fox can just go back to Moore for the home game against MN. If Jakes does well in NE then Fox can go back with "the guy that gives us best chance to win" and keep playing him.

Fox should have just come out and say, Moore will start but he didnt. I dont think Moore is the answer here but I sure dont want to see Jake.

    • I agree, but I've already said that the players will definitely take more money up front because it's more security. But they want more guaranteed money and NFL FOs don't want to do that for several and various reasons, and that's what's at issue.  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-second-round-rookies-finally-starting-to-sign-what-took-so-long-and-what-it-means-for-future-contracts/ It's a tug of war between teams and players, and, sure, paying a player a signing bonus may satisfy them, especially if--and sometimes "only if"--it ultimately leads to a guarantee of more of their contract, but the teams are on the hook for all of those guarantees when cap time comes, so if they guarantee more money, they're ultimately losing the contract game.
    • TBH, these are the kind of players that get weeded out of professional sports pretty quickly. Also, CMC is not that guy. There is zero indication that he isn't competitive.
    • I like the free agency. It actually helps basically all schools across the board. Pretty much only ancient HC's and/or HC's that haven't been able to adjust have been complaining about the free agency. Your fortunes can be made or broken every offseason. It's not like before where a bad recruiting class or two meant multiyear purgatory.  I will never understand all the bellyaching about the NIL. If you want to talk about what ruined college athletics, it has been naked greed. Conference expansions for TV revenue, ever skyrocketing AD and facilities costs and now the attempts to permanently ruin the postseasons(football and basketball).  All the kids did was get a very well deserved piece of a very, very, VERY broken pie.
