The Ravens can’t be this dumb? They’re a smart organization right?

That would be a good bet.

I like Stephen A, but I'll trust the reporting we have heard over the last 6 or however many months over him.  He's more connected to the NBA than the NFL.

Not saying he's wrong.  Him/his source could be right! But until other sources chime in saying the same thing, then my belief is that Jackson is searching for a contract in the same vein as Watson's.

Plus, no high-end QB has signed a long-term extension since then right?  It makes sense as to why he would expect that.

Jackson arguably deserves a contract akin to Watson's. I believe that someone will likely offer him 230-240 guaranteed also with more years on top that are essentially voidable. But we'll see.

This seems to be his destination. It sucks because I think they would be a threat to us.

Lamar with a TE like Pitts would be a nightmare.

I hope there is a sleeper team in the NFC that might be after him. A team like Washington could be lurking.

The idea of Steven A being right and pretty much everybody else being wrong is a little too farfetched for me.

Every NFL player "wants" a fully guaranteed contract, but that doesn't mean that Jackson's camp actually "asked" for or "demanded" one.

It has been reported that the Ravens offered him $133 bil fully guaranteed. That's not going to fly, and I don't blame Jackson for getting as much as he can.

Dude, even the NFLPA pretty much confirmed it.

"Pretty much" confirming and confirming something without question are not exactly the same thing, at all.

Believing what the evidence tells you and believing what you want to believe aren't the same thing either.

Between the NFLPA encouraging Jackson to stick to his guns with regard to a fully guaranteed contract and pretty much every source outside of Steven A Smith confirming that's what he wants, If you still think that's not what he's asking for, you're wearing blinders.

You are the only source. I never seen a guy who thinks he knows more than actual insiders.lol

Never change my man.

That is exactly the point. Steven A is not an insider. He even said so himself, that he is not refuting the others who have covered it, he's just echoing what he was told by Lamar's camp. People can be very clever with wording. The truth is usually somewhere in between. Maybe he isn't demanding a fully guaranteed contract but a guaranteed amount, greater than Watson's guaranteed amount, would be my guess, regardless of a non guaranteed amount beyond that.

Of course the NFLPA wants him to get a fully guaranteed contract. That's like the holy grail for NFL players. The Browns opened Pandora's box, and now most of the owners are tryinng to close it back.I think all their contracts should be guaranteed. So if he did good on him. But words do matter, and it's not like we have seen anything definitive.

If you think there are no other sources reporting that Jackson wants a fully guaranteed contract, well... 😆

Im not talking about just this report. You act like your source is the only source that matters on all topics.

Then when somebody post a source saying something totally opposite you try to find a source that says something different.

Rumors are floating around heavy around this time of year. We don't know who to trust.
