I wonder if Rod liked what he saw with MacEachern and Aho and goes:

MacEachern - Aho - Jarvis

Martinook - Kotkaniemi - Necas

Noesen - Staal - Fast

Stepan - Stastny - Puljujarvi

All contingent on Drury being unable to play of course.

I don’t think so, Necas goes to 1 either way, unless he does that crazy next man up line juggling again.

I was thinking the same thing for the first line. If Drury plays put in on the 4th line with Stastny and Pulju, I just haven’t been that thrilled with Drury in the playoffs,  he gets pushed around. Mac Attack should hold his own.

I don’t think Necas or Jarvis have ever played left wing.

It would have to be Noesen, Martinook, or McEachern on Aho’s left.

One was on Sunday at least for some shift I’m pretty sure. Because they did rotate Necas up for at least a few shifts. I wouldn’t mind TheEach running with Aho, I don’t like putting Marty up there, Noesen I wouldn’t mind though.

One news source indicated Rod said Freddie should be available as a backup. I listened to that interview and Rod didn’t say “backup” but I’m convinced Raanta will be in net since Rod knows he’s the horse we rode into game 5 with.

Take game 5 and Raanta and the team get some good rest.

I would like to see Noesen on Aho’s left

    • Another thread where the Huddle melts down over a Bryce comment.  "Conversations" and "Bryce Young has been signed to a new long-term contract" are still far away from being the gospel.  For a fanbase that has watched two top-3 drafted QBs come here, and us move on, only to see them elevate their play elsewhere, I find it comical. Bryce is flawed but this org is damned if you do and damned if you don't with BY9.  Why would our GM and HC say anything other than supportive about their QB1. Yes, he's extended, but I truly do not think if he goes out and has a repeat of the previous seasons, that he is here beyond 2027. They're giving him every opportunity and surrounding him with a ridiculous amount of assets on both sides of the ball. If he continues to pitch 110 yd/ game and cough up the ball while everyone else is busting their ass, no way Dan keeps him beyond the extension.
    • Ooof, I was not a Proctor fan. I agree w/ a lot of smarter folks than me that he's more of a guard and think his weight fluctuation is going to be something to navigate. I liked Lomu a lot, but figured there would be more talented guys there at 19. I also wasn't big on bringing in a TE via the draft. If it's not a vet (Njoku) or a trade for Mayer or Kmet, I'd just as soon see what the youngsters have. No need cluttering the room with more of the same.
    • Sam Darnold & Bryce Young are two very different Qbs ..just saying the last 25 years approximately 2/3 of ALL  first round Qb's  in the NFL were or are bust.so for everyone who makes it like a Sam Darnold you have two that don't make it or are a bust
