in a close game. for the best player on the team..who averaged over 6 yards a carry.

People always want to blame Jake or Moore or someone.....but a good coach could have won more games with this roster. Fox will come out again and claim we couldn't get much going.......and that is true.....when Fox doesn't go to DeAngleo enough that happens and we lose. You gotta work with what you got and what your strengths are.....Fox doesn't do that.

Fox sucks worse than Jake + Moore + a vaccum all added together.

I love Jonathan Stewart, but HE KEEPS OUR BEST PLAYER off the field.

Fox takes Williams out every time he gets hot.

Stewart is a GREAT back - dont get me wrong, But WILLIAMS is an insane RB who will be never be what he can be if he is only getting 13 carries a game..

Sutton is a GREAT B/U

Trade Stewart, get a #1 and let Williams take this team to a super bowl

I can agree with that.. I think cowher has the balls to pull a trade for a friggin QB.

I got excited when Vince Wilfork went out the game and was replaced with a player signed off the practice squad. D-Will had just busted that first 30 yarder and I thought we were going to take advantage and run the ball right in that area. I guess I wasn't meant to be. . .

That wasn't the problem. We couldn't run for poo when we tried. Yea D Will had some good runs but we were consistently getting stuffed.

We could run. Williams could run. Too many carries go to other guys in the run game. Williams needs at least 20-25 rushes a game unless we are up.

Stewart gets stuffed much more often.

Sure, every run won't be for a gain. To say Williams couldn't run and was getting stuffed is aburd. You can go back to lots of games this year and Fox simply opts not to run enough and to not distribute the carries he does give out to the right people. Chris Johnson leads the NFL in runs for negative yardage/no gain....he also leads the NFL in rushing. The reason the Titans got hot is b/c they increased his carries to around 25 a game.......you give elite studs enough OPPORTUNITY and they have great success.....DeAngelo is a proven example of that.

Stewart is a decent RB...but he steals too many carries and simply isn't as good nor can make all the runs Williams can. Too much has been put on Jake and today with Moore....they aren't good enough. To win with this roster all Fox has to do is play D and feed Williams.....if he did that I think there is little arguement we would not have a losing record this year.....as there is a short list of teams that have stopped DeAngelo....Fox is the only one who has really done that this year.....and the Skins.

Exactly, we had great runs on first down but no so hot the rest of the time. We never established the passing game which would have set up the running game. We were also down in the third quarter so we had to come back. You have to have a balanced attack to be successful. Until we establish more of a passing game and be less predictable, we aren't going to consistently move the ball.

that is the problem....Carolina attempting to setup the run with the pass. They don't need to.....they can run on 98% of the league w/ Williams.

Down by 7??? that is a reason to not run Williams?

True, you would like to be balanced. Carolina in 2009 is simply a better team when they simply run the ball......trying to be balanced costs them games. Also, there are to many examples of the passing game and attempting to really get it involved killing our ability to move the ball......like Miami. Just running and Carolina would have been up huge in the 1st half...the attempt at balance with medicore QBs has killed the season. Get a QB and then they can attempt balance......you gotta play the cards you have not the hand you wish you had.

Lets not kid ourselves here. Wes Welker and bad calls lost us this game not Offense.

    • The question is which Bryce shows up game 1. Do we get week 2 (2024) Bryce, or week 18 (2024) Bryce?  I will say that his progression after the benching last year was amazing. He literally got better every game - sans Dallas. Like every week he did something we hadn't seen him do before. And it wasn't luck, toss it up for grabs plays like Penix did against Carolina. Penix was just throwing the ball as hard as he could in the direction of a receiver and hoping they'd make a play for him. What we saw from Bryce was different. Decision making, reading defenses, recognizing blitzes and where they were coming from, knowing his hot, avoiding pressure and manipulating the pocket, throwing with anticipation, taking shots downfield, and running the ball surprisingly well. Stats don't always tell the story. Did he miss some throws that he should have made - sure did. But the clutch gene is strong with this one. One score game and Carolina has the ball with 2 minutes on the clock - I'm confident he'll give them a chance to win more than he doesn't.
    • I really like David Moore. He's a reliable WR. Smart, doesn't drop the ball and he's where he's supposed to be. Now, he ain't gonna route up a DB. He ain't gonna 50/50 ball a DB. He ain't gonna run by a DB either. But he runs a good enough route and catches the ball - definitely an NFL average WR. Every team could use a David Moore. Now if this receiving group can force Dan and Dave to let him go, then this team has come a long way since 2023. A LONG way. But I will say that Horn's speed is a big deal. They don't really have another guy with speed and quickness to blow the top off the defense and make guys miss in space after the catch, though he is still a rookie and hasn't done it in the NFL. If he and Renfrow push Moore out, then we might actually have something gents. Plus I see Renfrow as Thielen's replacement in 2026. I just don't think Coker is the reliable, move the chains guy like Thielen. Could be wrong.
    • david newton still doesn't have a clue. how long has he been doing this?
