Yeah that's the trendy (and true) thing to say about the NFL these days. It's definitely a passing league now. Not too sure when that came about. I guess a few seasons ago?

It's not just the unbeaten teams. Every single division leader has an elite quarterback and a quick-strike offense. Meanwhile, if the playoffs began today, the top 4 rushing teams this season (Jets, Titans, Dolphins, Panthers) would all be left out.

Let's pretend Fox comes back next season (which me might). Let's pretend we trade for a top of the line QB and draft a great WR in the draft.

Does Fox change the philosophy of this team? Does he stick with run first?

Of the 2 of them, I think the Colts go further. Manning is in a class by himself, and 'playoff experience' does count for quite a bit when the time comes. I predict the Colts in the SB, but not the Saints.

But I would LOVE to see the Colts and Saints if they both stay undefeated. That would be one for the ages!

The Saints played in the harshest conditions possible for a playoff game just three years ago, you can't tell me they don't have playoff experience with much of the same roster.

After watching last nights game. If it does come down to a Colts/Saints Superbowl, the Saints will win because the have enough defense to stop Manning enough times.

But No Fox will not change his philosophy even if he does get a real true gunslinger.

The Saints had the top passing attack in the league last year, but the number 26 or so rushing attack, and they didn't make the playoffs. This year, they have the number 3 passing attack in the league, and the number 5 rushing attack, and they are undefeated.

Just goes to show that unless you have Peyton Manning as QB, its best to have a balanced offense.

It's because Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell are way better than Reggie Bush, who has now settled in as a glorified slot receiver.

They didn't have the backfield to make it work. They had to rely on Brees 100%. Now it's more balanced.

Even the Colts offense is more balanced than it would seem at first glance.

ELITE QB = ELITE TEAM. You put Manning, Brees or Brady on the Panthers and we are world beaters. We've found the best QB we've had so far by way of dumb luck, it's scary to think how long it might take us to get lucky again.
