I Don't Want To Say I Told You So But...

I Told You So!

You people laughed and made fun of me earlier in the season when I said Matt Moore was more than capable of being our starting QB and look what he did last night. I'm not saying he's the next Brady or Manning but he is a lot better than Jake and Feeley. I hate saying could've, would've, should've but if Fox had listend to me back around week 3 this team would be fighting for a wildcard spot in the playoffs but instead we are on the outside looking in.

Oh well maybe next year we will go back to being the Panthers of 2008.

That's pretty cool you know Fox and make suggestions to him. Sucks he did not listen.

i'd prefer us not to look like 2008..because delhomme would be starting..2010 here we come..

By being the Panthers of 2008 I mean winning games and beating the snot out of teams with our running game. I honestly think we would have gone to the Super Bowl last year if our QB didn't go color blind in the playoffs.

I would love for you and Jake Delhomme 17 to have an all out thread/cage fight

Ha ha!!

And told you so? Last I check, many weren't bashing like you want to believe. Some of us just prefer to wait & see how he does first. With how promising he has look lately, he might be what we need for the future.

Matt is no better than Jake, period...they are both mediocre. Both of them have noodle arms where Smitty/Barnidge bailed out Moore for what could have been 3 picks. What HAS happened since Matt's "new" is the play calling has been better where more high percentage throws are being called now. His accuracy outside of 10-15 yards is suspect. I'll admit, he can throw a five-yard hitch very well. Moore tends to over-throw the TEs and under-throws the WRs. Passes over 30-yards look like helium ballons because they hang in the air so long.

Matt is a good back up, but that's all he'll ever really be. Our starter for 2010 is not on our roster now. If so, it's going to be a long year.

    • I'd give Bryce until the trade deadline to prove he's the answer and if he's not I'm dumping him for whatever pick we can get and I'm riding with Dalton the rest of the way.  2 and a half years is enough time to determine if he can be the QB going forward so for Bryce he needs to come out over the next couple of weeks and show that. The other players in the locker room don't wanna waste another year of their careers waiting to see if you'll ever figure it out.  If you took a poll of the players in the locker room I'm sure they'd rather lose with a respected veteran Dalton who at least gives them some creditability versus losing with Bryce who the entire media will say was let down by his supporting cast when in reality it's Bryce's physical limitations that are holding this team back.
    • I agree that he should’ve never been the pick at 1. In my 44 years I’ve never seen a team invest that much in a QB who is my size. I’m not meant for the NFL and neither is he.    Accepting we can’t change the past, I think it’s the correct call to keep playing him hoping that he will prove us wrong. I think we were dumb not to draft a QB this past year and let him learn and compete but that’s our reality.    I’m hoping this is the last year with the BY experiment and he deliverers us 1. To the playoffs or 2. The number one pick and we draft a real QB.
    • In his first interview after the surgery he sounded absolutely miserable.  Man that must beat you down to have that done
