Steve Smith nickname: Football Rambo

I'm literally laughing out loud at this rotoworld blurb

Steve Smith caught five passes for 134 yards against the Saints in Week 17.

Smith is truly unstoppable. After beating double coverage for a 54-yard bomb early, Football Rambo set up the game-winning field goal by outleaping two defenders for a 39-yard haul. Despite missing the first two games of the season, Smith finished with 78 catches for 1,421 yards and six touchdowns. He topped 95 yards in 10-of-14 games and re-established himself as a Top-5 receiver with a healthy Jake Delhomme.

Those two catches by Smith were great. That last one, Jake just threw it up. One of these times, that play just aint gonna work - I just hope its not this year

I love having a WR like Smitty on the team. Now with a back like Williams, we have two electric and game breaking players.

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
