here is how the schedule works so u know. play 1 division in the nfc and 1 in the afc that rotates every year. we play our division. then we play the same teams in our conference that finished in the same rankings as we did in our division. giants 3rd in nfce. panthers 3rd in nfcs. then we play bears 3rd in nfc north and we play the nfc west this year. GOTS IT?

I did not know that's how it worked. I knew the rotated divisions but didn't know the other part. Can't believe I've never heard that before. Thanks.

I think a new rotation started in 2010 (so that East Coast teams didn't have road trips to both SD/OAK or SEA/SF in the same year.) That played into it cause that shouldn't happen. In a 3 year rotation, if you face the same team, you should at least play one of them at home.

it's been said quite a bit around here but keeps falling on deaf ears.
they started that a couple years back so all teams played each other. not sure when tho
started in 2002 and was an 8 year rotation providing each team with a chance to play every other team in the league at least twice, one home and one away. came with the realignment of the divisions in 2002.

as to how they decide who gets home field advantage in any given year, i saw it somewhere but i can't remember. i do know that it has been determined for a pretty good while.

good thing is that we get to face chicago here. i don't know if that's any better but if they get that offense straightened out i know i'd rather be playing the bears at home than the giants. you give cutler a better oline and a better receiver and that offense is going to be really good. he'll still be a punk who can be picked apart but i trust that happening here more than there.

giants...meh. not worried about that. they do have one RB that is going o be a concern, though...gartrell johnson. that kid is going to be fierce in the near future. we usually do a pretty decent job against the best RBs in the league, though.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
