he is an interesting player with a lot of upside. he hasn't proven he can be number 1 guy, but he has shown time and time again that he is a big play threat and can take it to the house any play. actually, he reminds me of a younger, underdeveloped steve smith. worth a look.

Yeah, he'll be a FA... in 2013.

last I heard, he was requesting a trade.

Definitely. The man is a beast on special teams, and with a competent offense, he could really be special. Not sure if the Steve Smith comparisons are apt, especially because he ususally carries out of the backfield, leading me to believe they don't trust his hands in Cleveland.

Would love to pick him up.

And RockNRolla, isn't possible they signed him with the intention of trading him for picks?

He really hasn't shown he can be a 2 or 3.

We wont be trading for a returner.

considering Steve Smith was our last legit threat at returner......I'm ready for Fox to bring in someone legit. Our guys clearly don't have an eye for a threat and opt for sufficient option each year.

    • The aversion to tying up too much money in the ground game when it’s what’s winning us games is crazy to me. I get letting Rico walk if you think he’s easily replaceable but I don’t see many people arguing that, just applying an arbitrary salary cap based on what we think RBs are currently worth. I’d rather be stuck with Hubbard as an overpaid backup (not the worst one to have, mind you) than lose out on the most productive player on the offense personally.
    • Why do people keep saying things like “it’s not Young’s fault we spent so much to draft him”? Who cares if it’s his fault?  Nobody is saying send him to jail or anything.  People aren’t talking about blame for the decision to draft him, they’re talking about how bad he is as a QB and how we’d be much better with even an average QB.  Pointing out that we sunk a lot of resources into drafting him isn’t invalidated because he didn’t make that decision himself. Doesn’t matter whose fault that was, he’s still not playing like a QB who was drafted at all, much less one that cost two firsts, two seconds and a #1 WR.
