Game 42: Magic vs. Bobcats

After a dissapointing loss last night in Atlanta, Bobcats need to bounce back tonight against the Orlando Magic. The Magic are one of the top teams in the east, and have won a few games after hitting a midseason slump. Dwight Howard & the Magic have always seemed to have the Bobcats # and tonight wont be any different unless we get some bench production and do a good job defending the paint. This will be a tough contest, but hopefully being back home will get us back on track. GO GO BOBCATS!!!

Anybody notice the handles Derrick has for being 6'8 with that wingspan?

Holy poo I though I saw some Kobe in him..

Anywho.

First Half were doing "ok" but like in Atlanta were leaving points on the boards, we grab those boards I'm confident we win.

Also not many defensive holes I noticed since Dwight seems to be on Planet Mars for the night, continue to keep the Magic shooting contested threes grab those long rebounds and score fast.

This team is mentally weak, if we get a run or at the very least a 10-point lead they meltdown and start throwing up 3's.

Now the Bobcats have to avoid their typical 3rd quarter stinkers last night was a debacle.

    • It goes deeper than that for me. When I started watching the Panthers as a kid I fell in love with Mark Fields’ story during that SB run. He wore #58. Then TD wore it and kept the tradition of the being the soul of the Panthers. The next time someone wears #58 I hope brings that same spirit
    • T-Mac is a nickname, Tet is a shortening of Tetairoa. Like you said below... your name is Jonathan, I could see "Jonny" being considered a nickname, but Jon isn't a nickname, it's a shortening of Johnathan, see the difference? And if your mom named you Jonathan for it's biblical significance/meaning, because she was very religious, I think it would be different. T-Mac is Polynesian, so much in their culture has deeper meaning for them, particularly names.  So for his mom to feel this way, I highly doubt it's just because she likes the name Tetairoa and not Tet, it's much more likely than not to be because the name itself has a deeper meaning in their culture.   Particularly as T-Mac himself has often talked about how much his Polynesian heritage means to himself and his family. And no, I'm not saying all this because of how much he's my guy, if he was just "normal american" and his name was Jonathan and he didn't like fans calling him Jon, I'd probably just say tough poo.  It's that he's Polynesian and I know things like names have a much deeper meaning in their culture than they do in ours for the most part. For whatever it's worth, a quick google search.......
