Brett Favre "Highly Unlikely" to return

Who cares. He had the best season oh his career almost this year. Don't blame him, blame the media for slurping him. He can do what he wants. He shouldn't though, just because he'll not even be able to move when he's an old man, but if my last pass in the NFL was an INT, I'd want to come back.

Well when Favre ended the Packers chance of winning the NFC championship a couple years ago, his last pass was an INT and he came back to the Jets. I wonder what he will do this time.

I think the Vikings are going to put some pressure on Brett for an answer. I mean, they've got Tarvaris Jackson waiting in the wings. If things get ugly, I could see Favre asking to be released and then signing with the Vikings' long-time rival -- the Green Bay Packers.

Isn't it the Lions' turn?

Its a stupid question to begin with. He just got one of the biggest beat downs he has had in his entire career, he threw an interception at a critical moment, lost the NFC championship game, and MINUTES later this guy is going to ask him if he is going to play next year????

Sometimes reporters just need to be decked...

    • Jake, to me, will always hold a special place in my heart.  I really feel like for his era, he deserved way more love than he got, and should’ve had more than his one Pro Bowl.  He was a gamer with an underrated rocket arm. but let me tell you, after his Tommy John surgery, when he came back, I can’t remember who it was against, but it think it was a division game, he threw a ball that was supposed to be a throw away, as I think he was under pressure, and that poo floated forever and died right at the boundary where a defender ran over and picked it off.  One of the worst throws I ever saw.  His arm just wasn’t the same after the injury and surgery.  All that to say, that’s what almost every Bryce throw to the sidelines looks like to me.
    • And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own.  He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else.  That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground?  He does similar things all the time.  Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it.  It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that.  He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t.  Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn.  That wasn’t a great pass.  The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it.  We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw.  Crazy.
    • This thread is dumb. But I do think canales gets too cute with play calling and I don't think he's a good coach
