Peppers: “Anywhere is a potential landing spot.”

You ever been around the dude? I used to see him almost everyday when he lived at the old Summit Grandview. A simple "good morning" might get you a "sup". No more substance than that in there.

That makes him dumb?? What else is he supposed to say?

KK, it's ok we see it differently, and don't agree on this. I just think there is nothing hard about being a man, state your intents, needs, wants, etc, instead of them being drug out.

That is the problem I have with the "It's just a bidness" attitude. I even hate the ******* phrase to tell you the truth.

It's ok to disagree, and we'll just have to agree to do that. :cheers2:

loyalty? like the loyalty teams have to players? is that the one? the one where they cuts guys left and right each year? the one where as soon as they look like they stop producing they get cut? that kind of loyalty?

:iagree:

I'm a Panthers fan, and I hope he stays with us long term, but I dont blame Peppers at all. Go ahead and get that money, Pep.

Yep. You want to argue someone stop producing, and loyal?

Take the business out of it, and get down to the nitty gritty of the matter.

It's not that hard. If you can't produce, you don't play. Some teams have gone above and beyond holding on to players just to be loyal, but it is becoming something more scarce. From the players, and the organizations.

I say you put your mark in the sand, and show where you stand, not be a sissy whining ass. He knows where he want's to be, or doesn't want to be, period.

I mean this is getting as old as the Favre sh!t.

Why is everybody so quick to dismiss somebody being an ass for more money? Have you taken a look around at this world lately? Oh..."it's just business." When are men gonna start being men again, instead of fighting for every single dollar they can to be one up on the next guy.

I say honor first, but to each his own. :cheers2:

Favre committed to decisions back and forth. Pep last year very decisevly and respectfully said what he wanted, and it bit him in the ass. This year he realizes he doesn't know diddly doo doo about the process and he's not going to stick his nose in it.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.
    • Start posting in threads in the other forums instead of just creating threads. No one comes over here so you aren't starting conversations.  Get your ass up to 100 posts. It's not that hard. Don't create 100 posts. Contribute to conversations.
    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
