Waddell needs to be on the phone I wouldn't even mind one of Edmontons goalies they have 0 defense in front of them and get bombarded with shots....

 

 

It's unfathomable to me how many people are trying to say it's not on raanta....

 

It is! The defense actually played quite well and held them to a mere 14 shots...

If we IR Raanta I think we can squeeze Jack Campbell under the cap. That’s if Freddie stays LTIR all season. Pytor like it or not has to take the reins as 1 now. Maybe Halak will reconsider now that the holidays are over but it sounds like he didn’t want to sign down here if he wasn’t going to play. 
 

I like Raanta. But dude he wasn’t evening moving or tracking the puck yesterday. He is definitely injured. We can’t leave a brother out there to dry like that.

      Question to the posters on this thread because you are knowledgeable--I love watching and pull for the Canes, but I never played so I don't have the understanding I had when I played football then watched it.  Having said that, Do you think we are weak at Center?  I see the team to be pretty strong on the wings, promising defense, and weak at Goalie.  It would be ideal if the Canes had 1 more position to upgrade, not 2.  I don't think you can count on Anderson to play a full season and he is 35.  However, are we solid at Center in your view?

      Couldn't agree more, Kooch is erratic and Freddy is fragile, maybe save the remaining cap space for a goalie stud at the deadline

      There is one play that sold me-- it was around 2:38, I think.  It was 4th and 1 and the QB telegraphed and threw the ball out wide to TMac.  He had no blocking (the TE was very late) and four defenders collapsed on TMac behind the LOS. They seemed to know it was coming.  He got hit behind the LOS and battled through several hits to get three yards.  THAT play showed me his fire.
