R.I.P. Electro

To anyone who didn't know him or come to a tailgate, he really did care about people and making people he didn't even know happy. For about two seasons at the Huddle tailgates it was not uncommon for him to show up with $100 or even $200 worth of food every tailgate to share with anyone who wanted it. He would slave over grills cooking for hours just to give the food away and see people happy eating it (or drinking it).

He would bring eggs that his own chickens laid to use for breakfast. Buy tons of seafood to come share. Buy parking spots for people to stand in, bring tents to keep others dry in the rain, etc...if somebody even mentioned how it would be nice to have a certain food at the tailgate he would often get it just to make them happy, even if he didn't know them. You could tell that he got more enjoyment seeing others happy than he did making himself happy.

RIP Clifton....

I know that first hand. There was nothing he wouldnt do for the girls and me. I loved to see people happy and especially eatting the food he cooked. I will never forget every time there is a home game we would have to load up the truck with all his grills and coolers so he could cook at the tailgate. I will miss him dearly. He is my heart. I love you Clifton

Damn, even though dude took shots at me recently. Sorry to hear this. RIP.

Yep. It really makes a person stop and think what is really important in life and the poo that is not.

KT...I have taken shots at you as well. I would like to reach out and apologize to you. We may not always see eye to eye on issues, but the personal attacks that have happened are not cool.

My bad, bro.

Reading the messages on here gives an insight into him for those that did not know him. It certainly looks like he will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him and those that did not know him unortunately missed out on meeting a genuinely good person.

On this forum he was certainly one of the most entertaining posters and I think this website will be a sadder place without him.

My thoughts are with all that were close to him and of course with Clifton himself, A.K.A electro.

Rest in peace

Thanks for telling us more about the real electro, mush. Reading most of his comments, he always sound like he was being a dick or what not. But nice to see from you & others, he was teasing around ripping in a nice way like Don Rickles does as a comedian. I wish I could know more about him & even meet him to see the real him compare to being around the Huddle. Again, R.I.P. Electro. Wish there were other way around than committing suicide. :( :(

    • For Bryce’s obvious shortcomings (bad pun), there is upside to his game. This isn’t being a homer or apologists, but I like to consider myself fair in criticism.  He’s far tougher than I ever thought he’d be. I really thought homie would have been broken in half by now. I don’t know how he’s not, but he’s not.  He is prone to turning the ball over early in games which digs a huge hole the team is not built to come back from, but dude DOES come up with crucial first down in crucial situations. It’s NEVER pretty, but he just kind of has the shining. He gets bailed out LOTS, and the team still loses games because of him, but he’s a bit of an enigma. He’s a turnover machine that is clutch in big moments.  He’s a smart/elusive cat. He kind of has to be with his limitations. His audibles are almost always correct and he understands coverages. I don’t see him getting fooled too frequently. His turnovers are almost never the ‘damnit Jake/Cam!’ brand we have been accustomed to. They are ALWAYS due to his size/strength limitations.  Strip sacks that shouldn’t be. Picks that happened because he just don’t got that NFL arm. He is still prone to panicking and the wheels can and do fall off at a much higher rate than his peers.  The team is winning on the backs of the defense, running game and special teams… but they’re winning, and unbelievably 1 game behind Tampa. As long as this is happening and Bryce doesn’t go full meltdown, Dave is going to keep him in. He is not getting pulled.
    • This was a terrible podcast. A bunch of uninformed homers that had worse takes than the bottom 10% of the Huddle. I listened to a handful of podcasts this past offseason in search of new Panthers material since John Ellis doesn't do his pod anymore and The 4 Man Rush don't either. Immediately deleted it after the handful I listened to. Truly terrible.
    • The NFC South was so bad it sent a team with a losing record to the Playoffs that year. Wilks had players playing hard at the end but let’s not act like that was a good season. That season hurts even more now that we see in hindsight how good our QB situation was. We just didn’t know it.
