He's no Drew Brees! haha, JUST KIDDING.

32-39 289 2 TD's....hate on Breesus all you want but that is unbelievable with all the pressure in the world on him. Can't believe Payton made the mental mistakes when it came down to it....just goes to show you that no one is immune to pressure which is what made Brees' game that much better. Dude came close to a mistake ONCE; the overthrow to Shockey. I mean if that didn't sort of cement just how good Brees has become, don't know what it will take. Not here to gloat especially w/the news of Electro.

Brees was better than Peyton yesterday, absolutely.

Also, and I don't mean this as a slight to you guys, because you flat outplayed them after the first quarter, but the Colts secondary was an embarrassment to football yesterday. A buddy and I were watching and just started laughing because receivers were catching the ball with 10 yards of cushion all night. I don't know if it was by design -- the were scared to death of the big play -- or they just sucked when it mattered.

Anyhow, congrats and ignore the haters. We're all just jealous.

both secondaries got shredded....Brees did play some excellent ball though. So did Manning obviously. That pass he threw to Clark while rolling right, might just be one of the best passes I've EVER seen. Turning point was the 2pt conversion period. Changed everything. If Manning gets the ball with a chance to WIN, it's a completely different pressure than to just tie.

Due to much too much alcohol last night, this will be my last post on this forum;

1. Zod -keep things up, you do a good job

2. Panthro - keep the balance, you are the most objective 'non homer' on here

3. Saint J - shut your piehole and ship me an old tyme poboy or a Deano's pizza

4. Madhatter - hope the day comes when you actually post a good, intelligent post

5. Fiz - please see a psychiatrist, but you are one smart mofo

6. Southcak - come back on when you are old enough to drink alcohol

7. Kevin Greene - Hope one day you get to touch Bill Cowher...I know that is your ultimate fantasy

8. Brewski, AppStPanther - I'll be looking to see how Armani does in the NFL

9. Snake Fist Gung Fu and Weyco - find the nearest sharp instrument please and do what you know is right

Hope the Panthers return to their powerful form next year....NFC South wasn't the same this year without you in the mix at the end....I really mean that.

10. Drewbreesisgod- you're an asshole

Yeah, when Manning hit Clark there I told my friend that "that just wasn't fair".

    • And that makes you right.
    • Mel Kiper said he would retire if Jimmy Clausen wasn't a successful NFL starter too. Just because the experts make a claim doesnt mean it's true either.  Bryce may be a serviceable QB for someone. Serviceable QBs don't bring you a perennial winner or lead you to the playoffs over and over. Serviceable QBs also dont get 50m plus per year deals which is what a Bryce extension would look like.  The stats show he hasn't been even a serviceable QB in the 3 years he's been here. The eye test shows he hasn't put together 2 franchise QB salary games back to back in 3 years.  Complain all you want about people being negative, but people pointing out that Bryce is held to a different standard than anyone else on the team isn't complaining. It's stating the obvious.
    • We have big bodied WRs and 3 TEs who all have potential and each bring something different to the table. I never saw the need to go out there and try and find a new starting TE.  While it's nice to have a guy like McBride, Bowers, etc, I think a team's better use of the cap is by having TEs on rookie contracts or cheap vets, not having to pay elite TE money.
