A more fair statement...

Im asking because there's any amount of possibilities for answers to my questions. A corupt police department who really doesn't protect and serve. A hipocritical state that doesn't stand by its laws. Or the issue was already settled at some point and he stopped with the threats. Or any others I havent mentioned.

Ladies, let me try and defend/explain Kat a little bit here.

I don't think he's really trying to be critical of you. But it's like I said, with the majority of men, violence against women is just unthinkable and can't be tolerated. Being men, our tendency is to always try and fix things. And that's the way Kat is looking at this, as something that needed to be fixed.

We don't like to think there are things that we can't take care of, but sometimes that's just the way it is.

Sadly, the world isn't always what it ought to be.

This whole story is not one anyone can walk away from without some bitterness or distaste co-mingling with the positive.

The good, the bad and the ugly.

I am not going to defend him for what he's done to others good or bad. I am also not going to condemn his as an irredeemable person either. It comes down to - I hope he is in a better place, I pray his family will find peace and comfort, and those who loved him will have something to cherish and those who didn't will have the peace they seek.

If I had known his last name and found out what I've found since I learned it, I would have definitely filed a police report. However, at the time (about two years ago - I need to go find the receipt for this couch - lol), I did let Zod and other mods know and gave them the transcript as well as several of my friends on here "just in case".

That damn couch... it could have been a futon.. or God knows what else... I bet it didn't even recline... and was probably an ugly paisley print...LOL

I remember the "Couch" episode.

I remember the meter reader attack.

I remember the April Fool "I'm Running Off With Somebody's Wife" turning into "Pay Attention To My Drama Or Else".

Apparently, the farther away you lived from this guy, the better he was.

And schizophrenia runs deep 'round here

You forgot the "nobody respects me" thats happened right before last years playoffs. That was the final straw.

It's wonderful that there are men in this world who believe this. Unfortunately, there are men out there who do not and treat women like they're lesser species.

Women need to air out their grievances to "fix" what ails them - it's called talking and we do it well.

There are times when men's need to "fix" the problem is not the solution, it lends to more talking so women can "fix" their problems themselves.

:ciappa:

I am being sarcastic....please see the smilie!

    • fuging awesome win all around, loved nearly everything I saw. Of course the Nets suck and we’ve won our opener like 10 straight season lol so it doesn’t mean much but better than losing or having certain young players look terrible.   Hopefully we can stay healthy can keep building.   Also, for at least a couple days, all 3 Carolina pro sports teams have winning records… When was the last time that happened? I think last time both Charlotte teams had winning records was 2018 but Canes I think were below .500 then
    • Me either. I actually thinks it's the worst thing that could have happened. The last thing we need right now is Bryce out for any length of time. We need him to play for the FO to decide, correctly or not, if he is the future of this team.
    • The game thread is stream of consciousness. I may or may not have made a tasteless remark I don’t recall.    I know that my reaction was mixed, , not sure if I thought it was a positive or a negative in terms of.the game.    What I do know is we don’t need him hurt in the middle of a year where the jury is looking to come in on his future. fug that we need him playing and healthy so it is a fair game evaluation wise.    That is absolutely the most important thing in my mind by a large margin. I am not happy he is hurt, at all.
