Should First Pick be a WR?

Muhsin Muhammad may be gone, and the Panthers desperately need a complement to Steve Smith. Demaryius Thomas is the most physically gifted receiver in the draft, and has a chance to eventually be an Andre Johnson or Calvin Johnson type player in the NFL. His value will only go up after the combine. He could end up being a steal if he's available in the second round.

Yes we desperatley need a 2nd good WR, if not a WR then a QB.

Yes. WR class this draft is really deep so we can easily get a legit #2 receiver in the 2nd round, while the QB class is weak and we'd be lucky to get a backup.

Get Moore something to work with, and if he fails, pick out of next years class which has some really legit players(see: Jake Locker)

Absolutely. The only way I can see them not picking one with our 2nd round pick is if we get Breaston or somebody better in free agency.

Cant know this for sure until free agency. At the moment its the biggest need, but if they sign Kevin Walter like they should, then no, it doesnt have to be. BPA

Andre Roberts or Antonio Brown?? Both smaller, quick guys that could double as return men.

i'd like to see us draft somebody in the second round, but bring in a free agent as well... this is the kind of situation where bringing in an older guy would be worthwhile... somebody who could still produce for a year or two while the rookie gets adjusted to the NFL.

Well whoever we bring in had better be able to return kicks as well. Because our return men suck.

We have several needs. Take the best player available who addresses a specific need. Certianly we need WR help, but there's FA to look at too. With Moore as the starter, we may discover we already have good enough WRs to spread the ball around to, I don't think that was a real option with Jake. of course, if Moore isn't the starter going in to this season, well, as they say, you 'reap what you sew'.

I still think if you draft a WR.....you gotta wait 1-2 years before they are a legit starter. Sure, there are exceptions.....but on average it takes a while. I hope they bring in a vet.

I'd take a quick, legit, return man and decent wideout threat in the draft over a veteran. But that's just my opinion.

Outside of Oline and RB, i dont care what offensive position they select first, actually.

Let's hope that Fox/Hurney figure out how to draft receivers.

Our two starters, one came from Capers/Polian, and the other was George Siefert.

That is a very long time to utterly fail at drafting that position.

Note to front office, just say 'no' to Southern CA receivers.
