I don't think you waive him with the intent to bring him back.

That chapter is over.

From what they said if he clears waivers he’s eligible to remain on the playing roster for 10 games or 30 days consecutively before we have to move him off of it. We however cannot reassign him back if we move him without activating him again.

Weekes thinks the Arizona guy is the front runner, but honestly it sounds like he’s been poo recently too. This is about the worst year to have goalie issues. Cap not raising and the market is just awful for goalies.

THN writer seems to think that is less likely due to that contract structure. I do think that might be something Weekes isn't considering. But, perhaps Weekes still has contacts in the franchise that feed him better info.

I wish Nashville was a mess so we could get our hands on Soros.

I think we could still get Soros. It won’t be cheap but it’s a price to pay for a cup or two then it’s 100% worth it. Necas Pesce next years 1st and a prospect. That’s how you do it.

The issue for Nashville is they probably aren't a better team after that trade.

I think that may be a bridge too far. Maybe we just get a stop gap guy and then get serious in the offseason/free agency.

There is no way Nashville moves Saros. They are sitting comfortably on the playoff bubble right now. The only way I could see it is if it was a deadline move if they fell off a cliff but even then I doubt it.

It’s a low chance but you never know. When Donny Dimes does make a move then it could be a good one.

All of 11 games in the professional circuit… ECHL level. 5-5-1 on a 14-7 team.

I am guessing this is a Hail Mary while we try to make moves behind the scenes. TBH, Raanta was NHL worst level play so it isn't like Perets not performing well would change much.

Maybe he can be steady enough to be a slight improvement and then as the season unfolds more, we can arrange a longer term solution through a trade.

It’s a just a backup for a night or 2. They have to be working on something behind the scenes.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
