Diggs is at least versatile..D.Lewis is not

Not sure how Diggs is versatile. He plays SLB and does well there. D-Lew plays UT and does well there. We don't ask Jon Beason to play safety, we just ask him to play MLB and do work. "Versatility" isn't really a huge factor.

I think Versatility is a something good to have when your nothing but solid at your job..and not getting any younger.

I don't get everyone's logic that Lewis isn't good as a starter because if I remember last year, it was our dline who was constantly getting pressure and that included Lewis

Just because he doesn't get every single sack on every single down doesn't mean he sucks

Most people say Lewis is Solid.and belongs in rotation.

can we please get rid of some of the other DTs now?

As everyone has said: cut Kemo and (possibly) Lewis. I say possibly because I'm sure the staff have a better view of his utility (cost vs. benefit) than we do. Probably do away with Hayden too, and keep Thomas.

I'm not sure we need to say it anymore; it seems like everyone has the same basic idea.

The wound has to be healed before you remove that bandaid, however. I don't think the wound has healed yet. They should bring him back.

I think as along as we dont let the infection set in(Nick Hayden) we will be alright. We have several good DTs on our roster.

I think Irvin is going to surprise a lot of people this season. After we drafted him, I watched a few replays of Georgia games, and Irvin actually looked really good. He has good quickness, decent technique, and did a good job of diagnosing the play. His biggest problem was that he needed to get stronger and a little bigger. And with his redshirt year, he has had the chance to add some size and strength. So I have a feeling he will be in the DT rotation this year. I also think Leonard was looking pretty darn good before getting hurt, so I look for him to be the starting NT. Tank is also someone that can make some noise for us.

As for Lewis, I think he'll stick around mainly because of his veteran experience and leadership. However, if Irvin steps up like I expect and Tank and Leonard continue to be at least as solid as they showed in their brief time here last year, then Lewis might see his time greatly reduced. Particularly if Johnson can find the form he displayed as a rookie. Either way, I think Kemo is gone. They'll probably keep him on the roster into camp, but then cut him to save his 2.6 mil. salary.
