Why is that?? I've only been watching nascar for about 4 years now hardcore.... But i still don't know the history/make-up of all the race tracks yet.

it's just usually a boring race, alot of single file racing , the pack usually gets strung out .... But the last 5 or 10 laps should be good, I'll still watch and I'll be pulling for jpm!!

Wish they could take one of the Cali dates and give it to Kentucky Speedway.

I have a feeling the race will be boring as usual until a phantom debris caution happens with less than 10 to go. Then, whoever dominated the race will not win as they are punted out of the way.

Speaking of phantom cautions, does anyone else ever wonder if maybe a low tier driver gets offered a payoff or sumthing from a larger team to wreck intentionally. nothing big just like a driver rubs in the side of the wall cuts a tire down to throw out a caution, that in turn could lead to a green white checkered . therefor allowing a driver who was getting beat by a lengthy distance close that gap by having a caution come out.

i mean it couldn't be done by someone on the same time or else nascar would know they were being sketchy.

but i could see rick hendrick or someone calling over to a small team like joe nemecheks team telling them he will throw them and extra 200k if he takes him self out with like 3 to go. if jimmie johnson was getting beat by kyle busch or sumone from a rival team .

    • After some of the calls last year probably won't see much of a drop off

Resisting changes that would actually incentivize good performance and not seniority based systems. What a bunch of donkeys. Hope the replacements straight up take their jobs and never give them back. Sick of watching refs script games with no repercussions.
    • Donovan seems like highest risk to me. Lloyd and May have already established relationships with all these kids. There’s probably guys hitting the portal that they recruited from HS. And then there’s the possibility of transferring their own guys from their current teams. They’ve also been recruiting the HS kids for like the next 5 years already. Look at the Iowa coach who hit the ground running by transferring all his guys from his D2 program. Or going across sports to Cignetti transferring all his JMU guys year one then building off that to a national title year 2. Donovan is starting from square one having been in the NBA so long and he’s already 60. So you’re potentially punting year 1 for a guy you are just hoping to be a 10 year hire while you figure out how to actually develop your next home grown 20yr guy. That’s 1/10th of the time you have him, more or less at best. The hope would be that he would find some high level assistants who have been working the college recruiting trails already, but then are you giving up his ideal staff just to get a foothold in recruiting and transfers. Think Belichick year one was bad? Imagine how much worse it would be without Steve Belichicks transfer portal pulls. Hoping Mays or Lloyd are all they’re cracked up to be.
