alot of people are thinking moose won't be here this season, and i don't know why. Ok yea we do need another speedy fast young wr that can stretch the field, but we dam well wouldn't put him at number 2 when you already have smith out there. Smith and moose opposite each other = top 3 recieving duo in the league. Jarret has been progresssing slowly and maybe this year he realizes that he needs to step it up big and be the man, pushing moose outta the way towards the end of the year. I was hoping to see kenny moore out there more or maybe panthers can bring back ryne robinson since he's finally healthy again.

Smith and Moose are the third best tandem in the game right now? Just to humor me, which are the only two teams in the league with a better No. 1 and No. 2 receiver?

The main problem with Moose this year was the QB throwing to him for 11 games and the play calling because of the QB that was throwing to him. He looked pretty good with Moore and Smithy looked like his old self again. Hell even Jarrett looked like a keeper.

I have never had a problem with Moose staying around as a number 3 or lower WR, but he can't go deep anymore, and he is a hundred and seventeen, or so. Years, that is. With a QB who can spread the ball around, who knows? Lots of unknowns out there, I've always believed that it's better to deal with the devil you know than the one you don't!

Did you even read the whole article? "Poor passes were taken out of the equation to show only the hands of the receiver". Pay attention please.

No as matter of fact I didnt' since there is a Nexus One Add covering half of it up.

However if you don't think the rhythm and WR's being insync with QB has an effect on catch %(good pass or not) then your fooling yourself.

Now does this really mean anything? no. Just saying... saying Steve Smith or X reciever could be higher on this list given different factors Thus the stats are misleading.

controversly when it all comes down to it the bad passes really weed out the better recievers... BETTER HANDS. A guy who catches just about everything thats on target is good.... but a guy who can get alot of the others is better.

    • First, am I wrong? I looked back over all his posts here and I didn't see anything positive other than Shough. Second, pretty sure if you had read the post I was responding to, you would have seen CRA made poo personal as well . You just choose to address me instead of him. Not sure why?????
    • I wanted XL but I felt he should have been a 2nd rounder but I understand the logic trading up just to get the option. A safety net for your gamble.    Certainly disappointed with his receivers development but i like his down field blocking and I imagine that's what's keeping him on the field.
    • Pretty sure it is a given Young lacks typical QB size and strength and he is here simply because his other attributes more than make up for it. My point is not to indicate anyone "settled" for him but rather to remind people that there have been plenty of big, strong QB's that have not lived up to expectations. Jamis Winston, Anthony Richardson, Trey Lance, JaMarcus Russel are a few examples. They all have the physical attributes coveted by teams and yet none have had sustained success in the NFL. And yes, there are QBs that do have both but there aren't many and some of the ones still playing were failures with their early teams. Saying Young is a bust simply based upon his size (and I do think it is as simple as that for a few guys around here) is unfair to both him and the team.
