Per Schefter: Jets team sources say Thomas Jones will be released this week. I know the guy is up there in years but he was a beast the last couple of seasons for them.

Trying to find a link for it just got an ESPN mobile txt on my Droid about it.

Where in that statement did I say I wanted to see him in a Panthers uniform, I was saying that because I'm shocked he is being cut especially on a team that relies on the run as much as the jets do. It would be almost like the Cats cutting Deangelo or Stewart.

Well at least u didnt start this thread saying we should pcik him up. Like every other FA thread ever made here.

Why on Earth would any "respectable" Panthers fan want the team to pick up Jones when we have Williams and Stewart. Nope not me I want Brian Westbrook:rofl:..........I kid I kid on a serious note though Steve Breaston or Antonio Bryant and Ray Edwards would just be amazing pickups IMO. Though for us to get Edwards the Vikings would have to not tender him which I don't see happening.

      What people fail to understand is Lance had a college career that lasted about as long as teenage boys first intercourse.  To say he was raw was an understatement.  So much so that even a QB whisperer had a difficult time molding him into a polished NFL product on top of multiple nagging injuries.  The dud is in his mid-twenties, finally healthy and little miles on the tread.  Low risk, high reward.  If he's available, it would be stupid not to kick the tires.  It took Darnold and Mayfield to hit their 3rd or 4th team for things to finally click.  This is Lance's 3rd stop, I believe.  It's either time for it to click for him or be relegated to a full time backup. Roll the dice....

      Wrong.  At least we put a QB sneak in the play book and and add plays over 20 yards.

      I don’t know if people realize that Evan’s was one of the top TE prospects in college  before having some horrible injuries. I wanna say he had two major injuries in back to back seasons which limited his play and dropped his draft stock.
