Full House Formation

Did John Fox and Co. create that formation? It's the formation with a RB, FB, and TE in the backfield. I think I heard that the Panthers created that formation before the NFC Championship game vs. the Eagles in 2003. The Panthers called it Full House - Philly.

Now I see different teams using this formation.

It was Dan Henning. Sort of like the wildcat that Miami started this year. It has its roots in old school single wing football.

No, we didn't invent the fullhouse formation. We did, however, completely invent the wildcat formation in 2006. Sole credit goes to us there. Our coaching staff = complete genius

They probably didn't like Weinke throwing 60 passes so what better way to come back next week with a different game plan?

    • It depends on what version of bad we are getting. Can't have the locker room tearing apart over it.
    • I think that depends more on how high our pick is. If we have the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd pick i think we are drafting a QB rather than shopping FA market for a QB1. Curious if we’d be reluctant to start a rookie QB week 1 though.
    • Hurney 2.0 and Fitts were so bad I don't know if it was intentional or they were that abysmally clueless. Fittershits panicked repeatedly being on the back end of positional runs while Hurney couldn't evaluate anyone outside of the 1st.  I can't figure out why Plummer still has a jersey. There's no reason. Dalton brings nothing to the table. If another QB gets cut that has given a glimmer of anything better than what we have, we should look, and that goes for every position.  I cant get over how much different this team could have been with a competent GM and having accepted the Rams offer for Burns. This franchise could have gone in a totally different direction.
