Vegas cheesing the cap again. Hanafin to Vegas. Calgary is really selling.

Yep, Mark Stone will miraculously recover off LTIR just in time for the playoffs, exactly like last year. That’s how they circumvent the salary cap at trade deadline.

Frankly I’m not sure I want to stay in on this deal from what Im reading. Pittsburg wants under contract for a few years prices for a 2 month rental no matter how good he is. Especially considering it’s being reported he doesn’t want to talk contract extensions and is preferring to wait until July.

Buchnevich might be a more reasonable option especially with the blues saying they’d consider retaining some.

What's the latest on Zegras and/or Vatrano?

Don’t think Zegras is going to get moved, haven’t heard anything on him. I think Vatrano is everyone’s fall back plan. Teams that don’t get Guentzel or Buch will probably go after Vatrano.

Right now I think it goes from active rumors

Top Tier: Guentzel/Buch - 1st + high tier prospects or active players

Next up: Toffoli - probably just a first maybe a mid tier prospect

Plan-B’s:Vatrano/Duclair - picks.

Honestly give me both Vatrano and Duclair for picks and I’ll be happy.

Svechnikov - Aho - Vatrano

Duclair - Drury - Necas

Martinook - Staal - Jarvis

Bunting - Teravainen - Fast/Noesen

Kotkaniemi

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
