I'm sure everyone in Chicago is eagerly awaiting him sleepwalking through preseason followed up by his "whatever, it's just practice with a score" press conference.

The way the media is building him as a powerhouse and a making him seem like they just got the next LT the Bears fans are gonna be shocked at mid-season. I do expect him to come out the gates running but we will taper off by the end.

I'm not even so sure of that. Peppers has been paid, now he will really start to become complacent. He didn't even play the entire season flat out in a contract year.

Im not ether really. Im sure he will show up for a Sunday or Monday night game so he can make it to the pro bowl.

On a side note though there are alot more nasty whores in CHI so the Bears could be in trouble. :ack2:

all the bears fans I know are just glad that this might be the final nail in the angelo/lovie coffin.

friend of mine(bears fan) a few nights ago was saying how sure he was that Bears wouldn't go for Peppers. kept going on and on about how they have much bigger needs such as offensive line and receiver to go out and get Peppers.

can't wait to laugh at him.

I am SOOOOOOOOOO glad we didn't pay him this amount of money. I thought even what we offered was too much.

Now where is dimbee to tell us all how this is totally reasonable and won't screw over the Bears in the slightest once the cap is reinstated.

He will be a huge Cap Hog for the Bears once the Cap comes back. They will regret this signing for several reasons.

    • I think he's gone, and rightfully so, if he turns in another losing record. The "talented roster," regardless of how true or not, is a double-edged sword. If the roster is so much improved now from 202X then why are you still producing losing seasons? On one hand, maybe that's what needs to happen. Have the GM hire the new coach, and then have the new coach pick his guy to run his system. That is typically how it works in the NFL. Not the forced inheritance deal we have had in place.
    • Hinging on Brooks to be our spark...be good if it happens... but not holding my breath....RB next draft. Morgan gambled...it would be a 2 year payoff if thing happened.
    • Only way Canales is fired is if we are attrocious everywhere....  defense /special teams and offense..  There are enough "questions" on if BY9 is the guy that ownership wouldn't fire the coach for "just" mid qb play.  Especially with as talented a roster that has played "well enough" to win some tough football games and hang in there against the top tier of the NFL ...(mostly).   Now total team suckage..yeah .. but I don't see that happening.
