Was not expecting this, but you can still see the logic.

What this means is that our premium players are now called on to be the veterans and impart their knowledge onto the others. Frankly that could be a huge boon to players like Beason, as he is within his rights to whip anyone he wants into shape.

Also, Beason, Smith, Harris are our experienced vets. Pretty fiery no?

Sutton did look good in his very short stint at FB, but does anybody really want a 225lb RB trying to play FB for any extended period of time? Fiamatta will be fine. Of course he didn't light it up last year, but he was a rookie playing behind a veteran. He will be fine. Really, most of what a FB does goes largely unnoticed by most fans anyway.

Long time for the current players to get over it before camp. They might also find losing the big characters allows others to grow.

Also could fall flat on it's face...

I just have experience of this being a huge Arsenal fan. The past season we did something similar and sold all our over priced older players, who were the locker room leaders. Turns out a lot of people did not like them and it has created a much bigger bond throughout the team.

Honestly Harris is just being emotional because another locker room favorite got cut. I wouldn't read THAT much into it.

Nothing worse for a vet like Harris than to find himself trapped on a team that's gone into "win later" mode... I don't think that's what is happening here, but I can understand why he's getting concerned...
